He learned to jab his way into range and protect himself as he's coming in rather than rushing into range. He learned to get out of range immediately to avoid danger rather than staying in the pocket and welcoming getting hit. He was blocking, slipping or rolling nearly every one of Taylor's shots, not a single power-punch by Taylor landed cleanly on him. And that consistent double jab right hook to the body combo that worked from start to end. Great performance, I wasn't expecting Gib to have the most technical Boxing performance out of everyone.

Agree, I used to be very critical of Gib's boxing (the fact he would just rush into range and flail wild punches) but the man worked non-stop since the Jake fight and he put on a masterclass. Really surprised me. I was super impressed and he had the most technical performance. Consistently landing combinations, going to the body to bring the hands down then going to the head, targeting the body to gas out Holder (which he did), getting out of range after throwing, etc. I feel so bad for him considering how bad he wanted redemption and how hard he worked to earn it. Supposedly he was going to boxing gyms all over the UK and just sparring people. He looked in incredible shape too. Even though his moment of victory was robbed from him, everyone knows he won. Every single round. Against the guy that was supposed to be the "best boxer" on the card.

They declared the fight a draw because Social Gloves saw Taylor as a marketable guy who they could get sales off of, which was extremely evident from how much the commentators were sucking him off in the early rounds. And so they didn't want to add an L to his record to tarnish his reputation. It wasn't the judges fault, they all had Gib significantly up on the scores. If it really was a majority draw, then 2 of the 3 judges would've had the fight scored evenly. But the thing is, none of them did.
