It's crazy how much Gib improved so much from the Jake fight. He learned to go for the body as the smaller guy and break down his opponent, rather than overextending and aiming for the head. He learned to jab his way into range and protect himself as he's coming in rather than rushing into range carelessly. He learned to get out of range immediately to avoid danger rather than staying in the pocket and welcoming getting hit. His defense overall was so much better; the blocking and slipping were perfect, his footwork was a thousand times better than what we saw in the Jake fight, and with nearly every power-punch Taylor connected, Gib took the steam out of the punches by rolling them or moving backwards. Great performance, without a doubt the most technical Boxing performance out of everyone on the night.
