Thank you for sharing, Tara. I've always enjoyed your videos and look forward to seeing you back! I also discovered some latent health issues post long C*VID and understand how disruptive that can be to a business. Sending healthy, happy vibes!

Aw dang, sorry you're going through that too. Man, I don't think we fully have seen the long term ramifications of this pandemic yet.

Like you, it's difficult for me to show up at a certain time on a certain day. Consider these videos as a client consult, on our own time schedules. Answer one question at a time as if we were talking face to face. Changing your perspective might change how much energy you get from making the videos. 💕🌞🌵😷

I really want to hear more about you managing your health issues... like finding carnivore diet not suited for you. I don't tolerate keto very well. I need some starchy carbs. Dr Mindy, here on YT, says to regulate carbs with your cycle. (So be careful of diets focused on men, we ladies need a variety of techniqués during the different phases of our cycle (even in menopause). She also talks about how our energy levels will vary during our cycle. Which has helped me plan events.) She's also huge on intermittent fasting... No. She's huge on all types of fasting for women. So consider: on days that you can't record your planned content, what about chatty videos on you and what's happening. Your determination on overcoming challenges is inspiring, even for people who do experience health challenges. Sending lots of love 💕 from sunny 🌞 Arizona 🌵. Take care of yourself and each other 😷

I found you online within the last few months but your message has really made me stop and consider what my business goals are. My kids are 5 and 2.5, and I stay home with them. I’ve been trying to decide between building my business as an online trainer- or if I should go the way of content creator- sharing my life experience to help younger people on a similar road. I don’t want to commit to too much on my plate. 😬

It's definitely an important decision to make. As you're thinking on it, think about your financial goals, time goals, etc and which options align the best with ALL your goals, both short and long term. (I have a video on "how to make a big decision" that might help - search that phrase + my name to find it.)

@@TaraWagner That’s amazing that you edit your own videos-they look so professional! I know how time-consuming video editing can be, though. I specialize in helping creators like you by taking the editing workload off your plate, so you can focus more on creating content or other priorities. If you're open to it, I’d love to show you some of my work and discuss how I can help save you time while maintaining the high quality your audience loves. 😊

Haven't had a chance to watch the entire video yet, but it's nice to see you back! I remember watching one of your videos about your health conditions, and thinking you would say EDS. Just based on everything you had talked about, it seemed like it lined up! Anyways, I have it too so I find a lot of what you're sharing to be very relatable. Thank you for being so open about this!

Oh wow! You probably knew before I did! LOL It's super crazy after finding out to read about it and see just how obvious it was but not have any medical providers bring it up/test for it until I was in my early 40s. 😳 When did you get diagnosed?
@soniateach
@soniateach 10 күн бұрын
@@TaraWagner Yeah I didn't want to be weird & comment on your video like, uh, do you think you have EDS too? Haha but I think there's a noticeable body type that a lot of us have in addition to a wide range of symptoms. When I was pregnant with my son, a physical therapist told me I have it. I was confused because I knew she couldn't make a formal diagnosis, but when I read up about it I was in shock. I live right outside Indianapolis, so I was fortunate that one of the top docs in the field, Dr. Clair Francomano, moved here a few years back. So I was able to get in to see her before her waitlist filled up. It was honestly luck, because I think there's a 2-year waitlist now to see anyone in her office. If you do see a geneticist, in my experience, their speciality is the diagnosis and not really the ongoing management. Personally, finding the right physical therapists changed my life, because it allowed me to be more mobile again. And I know you mentioned diet, I am mainly plant-based (not a strict vegan) and I feel better than ever. I do eat some poultry and light dairy, but veggies/legumes are the focus of my diet.

I don't know if this impacts you, but I think a lot of us have TMJ disorders. I saw a TMJ specialist in Ohio who was also a big influence in the EDS community. Unfortunately he passed away a few years ago, but his office still exists and there are new doctors there now. I don't know where you're located so it might be too far to travel, but if you have any sort of difficulty with neck pain/movement/jaw pain/migraines it can help.

Super helpful! I'm currently on a waitlist for a specialist as we speak (my genetic testing says clEDS but the doc who ordered those tests knows nothing about it), but insights from others has been incredibly helpful while I wait. Thank you!

Thanks! I actually had a professional videographer come to help play with lighting, find the ideal setup, and even tape things off in my office so I knew how to set it up correctly in the future. They did it as a favor, despite trying to paying them!

I get tracking your energy to find your patterens, but how do you plan for unforseen events like bad weather (threats of rain triggers my joint pain), or stressful events (child's illness or a flat tire)? 💕🌞🌵😷 Ps. I started watching you years ago when you first started YT because I wanted to learn how you cope with chronic illness and getting ahead in life, instead of just maintaining. I continued to watch because techniqués for businesses also pertain to life in general.

Not everything can be planned for, so I always keep a flexible schedule with plenty of open space in my week for moving things around or swapping high energy work for low energy work. I also just keep a flexible mindset - for instance, I don't have very many "deadlines". If I want to launch something, I create everything first, and THEN choose the launch dates, and then do plenty of self care to maximize my energy on those days. This way I'm guaranteed not to be rushing toward the end (a sure fire flare up for me).

@TaraWagner , yes! Any extra stress triggers me too, because I push myself beyond my tolerance and then have to pay for it sometimes for weeks. It depends on how low my reserves are in my energy tank. 💕🌞🌵😷
