I was there that day in a 991 Cup. Nice to have the track pretty much to ourselves. That was a very badly driven Toyota!

Great video I enjoyed watching, thanks. Is the Revolution worth the money though? sadly they recently increased the price to £140k. Not sure it's £30k better than an SR10 with less power, what would you say?
@sclurgess3 жыл бұрын
An sr10 isn't 110k. They start at 125k with no options ticked
@sammooresphoto3 жыл бұрын
I haven't driven an SR10 so can't give you that comparison unfortunately. Now they both have Halo (as of today i think). I would seriously want to drive both. I think the Radical is significantly more developed but need to drive.

@@sclurgess Yep you are right, I wasn't aware the prices I had seen did not include VAT. Rather cheeky and misleading that.

Just out of curiosity Sam, why isn't your driver's seat a full containment seat? Its helmet surrounds would certainly help you neck abuse! I know Radical offers containment seats for most of its models, and I've seen them in SR3s. I think you'd appreciate the extra support, and they don't block your vision either. I can see that if you aren't driving the SR3 regularly frequently enough to build up neck muscles, constant 2.+G will wear a driver down by the end of the day. Love your track videos, especially enjoy the SR-10 video. Cheers!

Thanks, appreciate the comments. It’s because we currently have the passenger seat as well (it’s a double seat) which I’m kinda keen on keeping atm. I’ve looked at the U shape headrests and need to spend a bit of time getting one to fit properly. A good suggestion though and one I’ll think about if I find it’s a constant issue.

@@sammooresphoto I’ve seen Radicals with drivers side halo containment seats, and regular “casual” passenger seats. I do the same in my NASCAR Cup car; a full Kirkey containment driver seat, and a “halo less” Kirkey racing seat for a casual passenger. Both have the same SFI racing 6 point belts, but the driver’s seat really keeps me “planted” on road course track time.

@@jimmerriman6920 Yeah that sounds like a good idea. I'll definitely consider it.

Any way you can get your SR3 street legal ?

Not easily and it would be truly awful on the road. Far far too low and stiff, and a questionable reverse gear

@@sammooresphoto I liked your move on the supra, he was being aggressive, tried the outbreak method, then ready with the undercut, given he was over cooking himself all the time. He was never going to beat a radical in a corner.

I think it was John Ferguson driving it. He’s actually not a bad driver. However, his mind must have been elsewhere that day..... I could be wrong.
