I got STUCK on a REMOTE trail in Moab, Lockhart Basin

In this video I spent 3 days and 2 nights on a solo overlanding trip in Moab, Utah. I started at Hurrah Pass and camp just off of Catacomb Spur. On day 2 I explore Chicken Corners and complete the first half of Lockhart Basin. On the final day I complete Lockhart Basin one of most remote trails in the area.

Lockhard is a LONG day, we just did that last month. The Jeeps had no problems, the other vehicles.... good thing they had winches. ;)

great video again, IM so regretting not getting up to Moab yet this year. I did this trail south to north as the last leg of what we were calling The Big Adventure, back before overlanding became a thing. 02 or 03, and it was documented in a print magazine, 4wd and suv IIRC, Trail has gotten harder than what my feeble brain recalls. Thanks for the great video!

I’ve seen posts and pics on FB and forums of pulling the F42 fuse and disconnecting the negative aux battery cable and then we should no longer have to worry about the Aux battery issues. I haven’t tried it yet though

@@DeanJohnson67 to me, the easiest way to deal with it and just leave the Aux battery in there in case you have to go to the dealer or something is to just do the fuse and disconnect the aux negative from the main battery. Apparently it’s the thinner negative on the main battery. Still haven’t tried it but I’ve read a lot have done it no problems anymore. Aux battery is taken out of the equation. Let me us what you end up doing!!

The aux battery is an on going issue unfortunately. If you can have the stop start deleted I would. I sell 10-15 of those batteries a week at my dealership.

Yeah the aux battery has been nothing but a problem. I just bypassed it the other day.
