I am going through the same thing, except 3 years later. Ep. 6, he has 100x the progress that I do, and has only spent 6 hours in this save. I have 42 hours on my current save, but also got lucky by getting an S-tier Freighter. Gladly, because I accepted the first one without having a clue about what was what.

13:05, Also on console if you build your base near a Small outpost like here, it will Save the outpost as a part of your base. Now you CANT modify the mining base, but you can use it constantly for its Trade Station which will come in handy at times.

Cool planet! (Ha!) A little advice for buried technology modules, always walk directly over them before digging. They are often near the surface and you can just grab them without digging.

I myself just got my first alien multitool, and it looks very cool. It's a greenish grey, with a black lipstick crystal, and its auto-name is 'Dream Tuner Mark X' which I think sounds good enough for me to not change it. Found it from a Q Ball Gaming video.

Slow down over the location it marks and go into camera mode. You can just look around and find the location that way. Then fly strait to it. Even if the object hasn't loaded in during flight mode it will with camera mode.

What you didn’t see was my first start where I had a Paradise Planet and an S Class MT cabinet but then the game crashed and I lost the save. Probably for the best. I would have gotten serious hate for that one. 😂

I'm literally just going to do a new start on NMS after a 2 year hiatus. Got bored playing games that have endings that are too quick or games that never seem to have a point in playing from the start. And as I've only got just over 200 hours in NMS, I'm still classing myself as a noob. That being said. Your start was pretty damn awesome. What you were able to find and get and do. The alien multitool. Took me ages to get one in my first (And only) game. My only critique is you're very quick making stuff. *Bish! Bash! Bit of a funny one for ya, the whole refuelling landing fuel before wandering off, I kinda didn’t refuel scrapped a ship and it gave me back the wrong one so all my stuff is in one I can’t summon to me and I haven’t got a freighter yet to do an easy swap… lol

Sure! You can actually build lots of bases. I usually just leave it and build a new one. The base quest will come from which ever one you interact with last.

Slotting upgrades next to you item gives you an adjacency bonus. As well as using the supercharged slots for items. You will get a colored outline for all upgrades that match the item. This works on your ships as well as your suit and multi-tool.

Layout matters cause you want to be able to put upgrades around their main components. You also want to put certain upgrades in the supercharged slots.

Rather than repair the broken multi-tool, you should be able to exchange it at the settlement for the brand new one and not pay any extra. They're worth the same amount. Just take the extra mods off before you exchange it.
