Do you like doobus goobus? His old stuff was a little too new wave for my taste, but when friday night hunkin came out in 83, i really think he came into his own, commercialy and artistically. The whole video has a clear crisp sound and a new sheen of consummate professionalism which really gives the humour a big boost. Hes been compared to brombo but i think goobus has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humour. In 87 goobus released this, their most accomplished video, i got the gold brick! I think their undisputed masterpiece is this! A video so funny, most people dont even listen to the message, but they should! Because its not just a commentary on the youtube ratrace and the struggle for the brick, it’s also a personal statement about goobus himself! Hey wabus?
