@S. That’s a pretty bigoted joke to make when you consider that you are talking about something that really can happen at the cost of underprivileged groups. People will often give money to people who they enjoy rather than people who are suffering, sometimes in terrible poverty, and joking about it only perpetuates that norm. Maybe you don’t enjoy or watch the content of poor people as much, but maybe they are more focused on surviving their disproportionately bad and oppressive circumstances than entertaining you. If the joke was about giving all of your money to some very poor people or person, I could respect that because that would be punching up, and even if you weren't going to give literally all of your money (because it's a joke) it makes it clear that the poor people are who you are looking to serve and be an ally to. For example, you should do research (if you have the internet, you can do research - take a few minutes out of your day and you will save lives) on whether poor people would want you to give your money to Marjorie or to them. If they say "Marjorie," then fine, you have permission, but I suspect they will want you to give it to them and if that's the case, you really need to respect their voice on that and give your money to them because they are in a position to understand your privilege better than you are, and they know how much you should give to them, and that should be respected, and we shouldn't joke about defying the poor when they are already so disadvantaged as it is. When you give them that amount of money, share it on social media and spread the message, and make it a trend, and inform others of their privilege so that they can join and be an ally, and speak out against those who refuse to be an ally and those who refuse to listen to the poor's voice on how we should spend our money, and just think they are being "lazy" or something when actually they are speaking the truth that they are going through disproportionate pain, and we need to just be silent sometimes and let them tell us what they need, and give them that because this is their time now, and they don't need people to derail the subject talking about their own problems from a position of privilege. People often don't want to recognize their privilege, but you can start today. Try not to be a part of the problem, next time, please.

I like the idea of no frills, to the point skincare. However, $55 for 30 mins and you wash your own face - not great.

I will say, that is a great price for a 30 min facial they are using great products. We use some of those at my spa and the Celine LED light is about a grand or so in price so you are getting a good quality service but as an Esty I think a facial should be a bit long but it’s a great start for someone

@Nintendo122333

Looking at the video, it looks like they provide the materials for you to wash your face? I guess it makes sense, since some people have more sensitive skin, so customers know how gentle or rough they can be with their own face. If they do provide the products, do they accommodate for sensitive skin?
@Wellandgood
@Wellandgood 4 жыл бұрын
Yes, they have an array of face washing products there and consultants that can help you with which to choose! Even thoughtful details like hair ties and non-abrasive towels. Having customers wash their own face is just one way they cut down on the time + cost of a typical facial.
@Nintendo122333
@Nintendo122333 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for answering. =D It's great that they have someone there to advise the customers. I'm an absolute beginner with skincare products and usually don't use a lot except maybe sunscreen and moisturiser, because of sensitive skin.
