I always wanted a customized PS joystick but I refuse to pay more money for a 3rd party joystick. I got the dual sense edge and I really like it. Had the Victrix Pro BFG for a month, ended up returning it and getting the DS Edge. Originally bought the BFG because I only play Destiny 2 and fighting games. It was great for FPSs, but the fight pad setup was a bit lacking for me. Ultimately there was some weird software issue (stick drift) on a 1 month old stick. I returned it within my amazon window. I got this because impatience but also It's a sony product, not just a licensed product. IMO the only advantage the BFG had is 4 buttons, and a tall concave analog stick lol. The DS edge exceeded my expectations and I'm loving it.

The main disadvantages it has ain't that bad considering the lock on the braided cable making the battery life an almost non issue and the paddles are nice I don't need 4 as jump, reload, swap weapons, or slide/crouch are things I don't need to do mid combat but nice addition

I just got one and love it. Even the battery life for me is fine especially with the super long cable provided and the lock mechanism. Loving it so far especially these awesome back buttons and ps3 style stick grips

Honestly it comes down to preference. I got mine around August last year I’ve been using it vertically since I got worried about whole situation too but I never had issues but since then I have mine horizontal now for some reason it runs a lot cooler now so I’m keeping it like that. Hopefully this helps man happy gaming!

I do have to praise the swappable joysticks but apart from that it has nothing on the Razor for PS4. Programing it's up to 4 buttons on the fly directly on the controller without in game menus is so useful. The only reason it's not usable for the PS5 is due to Sony blocking its use with PS5 games. If Razor do get an authorised controller I would wait for that since they have been at it longer and surprised that Sony haven't learnt. Even the XBox have 4 buttons too. Razor and XBox picking is also cheaper the Sony which is strange?

I received mine 2 days after SONY's oficial release date... Definitely worth buying for any gamer looking for a PRO controller offering high precision controls, versatility, efficiency, modularity as well as impeccable fabric quality. That's the best choice for the PS5 so far. Software could be even better in parameters and settings adjustments... Ex: One LED specific user's choice color associated to each gaming profile saved in the controller for easier recognition.

I spent most of the weekend taking my Dual Sense Edge for a test drive and loved every minute of it. After having purchased a Scuf Reflex Pro, I was happy with the much better build quality of the PS controller. My Scuf controller broke after 6 months of casual gaming (i play 8-10 hrs a week on average. Couple of times m-thurs, but most of the time is spent on the weekends). The only thing I prefer the Scuf over the PS controller, is the grip… those Scuf grips feel great.

@@j0hnX44 it’s not as bad as people in the comments can make it out to be. Idk how long you typically game, but I didn’t received a lower battery notification during any of my longer sessions, which is typically 3-4hours. And I got a couple nights out of it without needing to plug it in. Now I do change my controller settings to optimize the battery life across all of my controllers (no vibrating, lights on low, no trigger effects, etc) but I’m not sure how much that affects the battery life. Fresh out the box, I played with it plugged in to top it off and the responsiveness was insane. So I may go back to playing with it plugged in regardless.

imho get rid of the case as most ppl wont use it , get rid of the cable as if ppl play with it plugged in they will already have a long cable , make the extra stick pads an option rather than "giving us everything" so you can pick none , short , medium or long (i suspect most ppl would pick none) the back buttons can stay with the 2 options but again they could make it an option and drop the price , also make the face plates or something changable , imagine taking your controller to your mates who also has one and getting them mixed up and getting home and your pad is now all kak handed and wrong because they all look the same.

After using the Xbox Elite Series 2 for my PC, i already had standards for a good pro controller, and this has checked every box for me. This works absolutely fantastic on my PS5 for every game i play, and i couldn’t be happier. My biggest worry coming into this was 2 back buttons opposed to 4 on the elite, but it really isn’t a big deal for me since i only rely on 2 on my elite anyways. Fantastic controller and worth the hefty price rate

I believe it’s just the module itself. You can buy them already, and there’s a cutout in the middle of the case (the empty spot between the caps and the lock for the cord), to store a spare module.

Wish you would have gone over the cons with that conteoller... For $200, the battery life is ~50% shorter than the standard controller; which leads me to believe they just used the battery from the standard ones in the Edge.

The adaptive trigger motors are always active if you adjust the sliders and larger motherboard draw more power compared to the original Dualsense.
