Your new hedgie is so cute, I have a dog named Lena as well! And I'd definitely recommend softer substrate for the tarantula's. Either Eco-Earth or top/potting soil with out fertilizers. Most T's like it dry but without knowing the specific species it's hard to say. There are lots of tarantula groups on Facebook who can help confirm your species ID. I'm personally a part of one called Tarantula Gossip that I like!

My 4 and a half month hedgie will never stay in my hands, and she always squirms like crazy and won’t stop moving! Also, her legs never fully extend when she’s walking in my hands, is this normal?

Please get a new hide for you're spiders that hide doesn't really help it from hiding its too big and you can see through it, get a pot and cut it in half works much better it will make it feel more comfortable and secure, and you're substrate has too big chunks get some eco earth or plantation soil from exo terra I know you said maybe but no get it. Do more research before you buy new animals, please. Like look you got a boa constrictor instead of a ball python the don't even look the same its like you dont even really want the animal because if you did you would have done research and known the difference, morphs only changes how there color and patterns are. I think if you would have done more research you would have known the difference. You gotta make you're animals feel as safe and secure as possible. Please don't just get animals because they look cool or are cute. And no you cant tell how old the are by looking at their but size, the more they eat the bigger the butt gets. And why would you buy a tarantula if you don't even know what kind of species they are what if they have a deadly venom, every specie needs more or less humidity than others and do you even know if the tarantula is an arboreal or an terrestrial I bet you dont even know what that means, its maybe climbing the glass beacuse its an arboreal but dont take my word on that i cant see what tarantula that is because all i saw was its underside. I hate when people get animals without knowing how to take care of them now you made me type half a book. Dont take this as im hating on you i just want you to realise that you gotta make you're pets feel as secure as possible.

Those "spiders" are Monocentropus balfouri. They are one of the few colonial species of tarantulas, so you can keep them together. Please don't put plastic pink hamster hides in their enclosures. They would do much better with fine coconut substrate in which they like to dig tunnels and cover in intricate webbing. You shouldn't just buy animals before you know what they ARE and what they need so you will know if you will be able to provide for them (saw the "ball python" who turned out to be a boa video too). If you educate yourself before getting an animal the vendors won't fool you that easily either.

Alina Biro I appreciate the feedback although I have received many different answers as to what people think my little guys are. Your answer is the first of that kind, therefore I do not want to risk them being placed together. Also, these enclosures were temporary (not sure if I mentioned that in this video although I think I might have.) the currently are placed in coconut fiber with much more suitable environments. As I said, I appreciate the feedback although the manor in which you delivered it was unnecessary. Just because I made a mistake with my snake (who happens to be doing fantastic) doesn't mean I'm absolutely clueless in the animal world. I understand your concern and love that people care that much although challenging somebody's knowledge when you do not know their position at all is rude. Thanks though, they are doing great!

I'm just being realistic here. All I see is a girl who keeps on buying animals she knows nothing about just to make KZbin videos, planning to figure it out as it goes. That is dangerous behaviour for both you and your pets. Attempting to handle a tarantula you didn't identify is reckless. What if it's an Old World one and it bites you and you go to the ER, what kind of antivenom should they give you? Tick-Tok. I also saw how you keep your Betta fish, and no, it is not ok. Getting animals sick and stressed until you learn online how to care for them is selfish. The least you could do is stop spreading incompetence and hit the biology library.

Alina Biro you are making uneducated assumptions which is nothing but pure ignorance at it finest. The last time I bought an animal was months ago (my spiders actually, believe it or not!) I'm nothing close to an animal hoarder and do know if anything the basics on caring for what I'm considering purchasing. Just because I'm not spitting facts out of my ass in every video about what I own doesn't mean I am clueless. I think you need to reevaluate your thought process.

You should do a hedgehog video, also can you have two of the same gender together or do they have to be different gender ?
@LivChambliss
@LivChambliss 7 жыл бұрын
Yeah ill make a new hedgie vid! And Hedgehogs are solidary, which means that they prefer to be house separately. Never a good idea to house opposite genders together due to risk of unwanted breeding/fighting/etc. (Hedgehogs are very territorial) Males should never be housed together due to fighting over territory and all that, and they could hurt each other. Females, there are few exceptions such as being raised together (although you still need to be cautious of fighting) and really it just isn't the greatest idea to have them housed together in general :-) I have wo separate cages for Pip and Lena!
@kendravoracek3636
@kendravoracek3636 7 жыл бұрын

@karlee2261

Kendra Voracek almost always hedgehogs shouldn’t be in the same cage because they tend to live solitary lives
@LivChambliss
@LivChambliss 7 жыл бұрын
Kendra Voracek yes! They just need their own cages.
@85zrandom68
@85zrandom68 7 жыл бұрын
Females can be together but they can start a fight so i wouldn't recommend having 2 hedgehogs in the same cage because 2 males together would fight all the time, but if you have a female and a male they would get babies and eat them and it can take just seconds for them to breed
