I Got To Drive A BMW M850I Gran Coupe!!

In this video I got to drive a BMW M850I XDrive Grand Coupe. The BMW M850I XDrive Grand Coupe is an all new design from BMW and it sits right next to it coupe sibling the M850I Coupe. The Grand Coupe design has always looked good on the BMW 6 series and im glad to say that it also looks good on the BMW M850I. The sloping roof of the Grand Coupe is a nice departure from the traditional sedan, and even though it does sacrifice the middle seat, the grand coupe makes up for it in design.
The BMW M850I XDrive Grand Coupe comes with a twin turbocharged 4.4L V8 engine making 523 horsepower and 553 foot pounds of torque and let me tell you this M850I is a very fast car. The acceleration is strong and the 8 speed automatic transmission is very snappy in the M850I. Even though the M850I is a fast car, it definetly doesn’t feel like a sports car. It is heavy and has 4 door so expectations should be checked when driving this car.
The BMW M850I plays a nice dual personality role with its comfort and its fast accelerating V8 engine. The backseat is surprisingly comfortable and has plenty of leg room. The item that you will sacrifice if headroom given the low sloping roof of the Grand Coupe design.
Overall the BMW M850I XDrive Grand Coupe is another good car from BMW. It offers a nice departure from the current BMW design language and looks futuristic. The kidney grills seem to be of normal size, which many will be happy to see.

Just bought one yesterday. Fast AF, while also exceptionally comfortable and interior is quiet as a library. Man I love this car!!! That roar from that exhaust with those pops and gurgling on the downshifts are absolutely addictive!!!!!

Enjoyed the vid. Man I’m so glad they brought back the 8 series. Loved them every since the 90s with the flip-up headlights. I’ll take this over the AMG-GT 4 door. Did this new 8 turn heads as you drove it around LA? Or nah.

The 8 series looks good for sure. I wasn't paying attention if it was turning heads. They're actually pretty common in LA believe it or not.

Still have yet to see one of these in the flesh.. in the video it seems low and wide..which I like. Is it bigger than a 7 series? But looks amazing though.

The 8 series is definitely wide! The 7 series is longer but the 8 series is wider and lower, overall the 7 series looks like a bigger car to my eye, not sure of the official numbers. On the interior, the 7 series also feels a lot bigger for some reason. Thanks for watching!

I was gonna get it too but after spending a little time with it realized it's just too substantial for L.A driving. That rear wheel steering isn't as effective as it's in Mercedes, my hope was that all wheel steering would make all the difference when it comes to tight parking spots or just overall maneuverability of the car in parking lots and narrow streets but my experience conveyed me otherwise, it makes a difference but not all that much... My conclusion is it's not a great fit for a congested city like L.A., I find my current M550 to be a little too large for city drive and maneuverability and 850 was just even worse... And the interior was just as dull as every other BMW out there... I mean damn it... it's your top of the line model maybe make it a little nicer/fancier? I'm growing bored from BMW to be honest... they're not inovating for shit, just making slight and insignificant changes every 5 years... thinking about switching to MB or something else... did you guys get yours? I'm curious how do you guys feel about it?
