I'm curious how is the feedback from the wheel compared to sim racing ! Is it heavy/light ? Is the feeling crisp/dampened ?

@@HDRGamingHub Its powersteering so I would say pretty close to DD1 on some normal FFB Settings :) And of course you get 100% response from car and the wheels

Looking at this back after week, Im so proud of huge improvement just in 3 laps. My only wish is that I could have done at least 7 laps to get on better pace and more to the limit :)

I remember listening to a podcast by Scott Mansell(Driver61) when he worked for Renault F1 and their driver experience. One of the reasons they only give you a few laps and no second tests is because drivers get too confident and are more likely to crash, they actually had a few drivers crash their f1 car lol. Not saying you would crash this GT4 car Jadier but I can understand why they limit it.

in all seriousness.. im so stoked to see simracers geting some actual seat time like IRL... first there was just a couple of selected guys from GTacademy.. then jimmy and james got their seat time.. fingers crossed, hopefully in this life time we might actualy go race a real life race one day if this keeps up like this.. even if its just go.carts. You go guys!! cars in sims may be not real, but the racing and passion for it are, as one smart man once put it.

Awesome man! I had the opportunity to do the same in 2020 in Hockenheim. As it was during covid, I had an instructor drive in front and followed him. All on my own, in a GT4, during a free practice session of a porsche gt4 cup series, crazy man. We started slow initially, but very soon started to push like crazy. I had to laugh at 11:40, I had a similar code brown moment at hockenheim turn 7, which we took flat out and I took a bit too much curb. The driver that was supposed to drive after me had issues with the helmet, so we extended and I was out for 6 or 7 laps in the end. That was the best experience of my life. Happy for you man, I was hooked with racing for good after that.

hello Jardier l, congratulations for your wonderful experience, from the telemetry you can see that you never go to the maximum on the brake when braking compared to Acc, how does the weight of the steering wheel seem to you compared to the Dd1 you can give us feedback on the sensations you have at the wheel compared to to the simulator obviously leaving out the G forces. thanks and congratulations. maybe you could make us a video where you explain the actual differences in sensations of the real steering wheel to that of the simulator.

So reason I never braked on 100% Was that I wasnt even pushing to the max of course. For example to the T1 chicane real racing drivers brake on 100m braking board. So as I was braking later and later I was pushing brake more and more, most I pressed was like 80% but that was on my inlap already. So to be fair before you actually trust the brakes and abs you are already in the pit for me The braking in the real car on the limit (which I havent done obviously in limited time) you reach 100% on heavy straightline braking zones :)

We have similar thing here in Australia where I did 4 laps of Mt Panorama in a V8 Super tourer with a coach beside you and just when you feel like your up to speed it's time to go back to the pits. Hope you enjoyed the experience mate.

@@Jardier yeah mate last year, they hold it one weekend a year and cost $1000 aud for the experience, they limit you to 240kmh down Conrod but that's still fast enough entering the chase 😉

Definitely need to come here and experience the track mate. It's a public road so outside of race weekends you can drive it for free (unfortunately 60kmh limit).
