Years ago I was training a tennis player and telling him about my favorite car - the NSX. He says to me “want to come to my house - my dad has one in the garage.” We got there and he proceeded to get the keys, back it out, and then we ripped it around the neighborhoods. Years later I saw his dad and and mom in Colorado while I was on vacation with my wife. I said to his dad , “do you still have your NSX?” “How do you know I have an NSX” he replied? I said to him “your son and I took it out for a spin in 2007!” His mom died laughing but the dad wasnt happy!!! It was completely stock - completely awesome. My favorite car all time.

Few things to be pointed at, Senna didn't developed the car. He did 2 days of testing and said the car was a bit fragile, development was done by Bobby Rahal and Nakajima as well as lots of feedback through out the years from Gan San and DK. I am lucky and drove most of the 90's and 00's performance cars, and been lucky to own an NSX since 8 years and it's been one of the best cars I have ever own. And the only one with my 997.2 3.8RS that has never left my garage. It has never failed, never a drop of oil used, mine is an NA1 3.0 fully Type R prepared ( gearbox, R&P, full bracing, 130kg weight reduction with AC and full interior and a full header/exhaust ) The car is 1240kg, short gears and 300hp and feels like 400 it is on par with a 996.2 GT3 from 0 to 200kph. It drives better than a 964rs and I would put it on par with a 993 RS club sport which is 3 times the value. Gearbox is the best I have ever used, engine screams towards 8500trs, torque low dow, intake noise is as good as any mid engine car can get and the joy and feeling is amazing. Lots of badge snobs don't understand it, but I have lent my keys to a few Ferrari 348/355/360 owners and some 964RS/ 993rs that couldn't believed it. All time classic and also the revolutionary car that gave us and created this category of mid engine daily sports car from afterwards. Only issues is to find a good one that hasn't crashed because the Aluminium structure is complicated to repair and the second is the brakes who really are shit from the factory.

@Hadrien23 Spot on good sir and you are the ONLY person aside from myself that recognized that Bobby Rahal and Saturo Nakajima did far more development work than Senna. As a lifelong Senna fan and current NSX owner (96’ NSX-T) I wish Senna has a larger role in the development but as you clearly are aware his contribution has been greatly exaggerated. On a personal note I’d like to ask you about some of your weight reduction. I had my car corner weighed and it was 3132 lbs with a full tank of gas but now it’s 2,983 with a full tank of gas but like you, I have t removed anything aside from the spare tire. The easiest are Lithium battery, carbon bumper beams, removal of cd charger and spare wheel, cnc aluminium bracket for the alternator, carbon b pilar and intake scoop, removal of NA1 abs to NA2 abs, and a full lightweight exhaust. This will net you 200lbs at least.c After you have to be more creative, wheels, brakes, carbon bonnets, lexan rear screen, single partition window, removal of underneath towhooks, coilovers, this all adds up. My goal is 1200kg 2650lbs with AC and full interior.

I worked as a porter at an Acura Dealership in high school in 99. Drove so many NSX's including the NSX Zanardi Edition. Love that car.

When an old favourite song comes on the radio that makes you prick your ears up, that's the sound of this car. Handled the Ring well, kept up with most moderns and that engine sang its heart out. Loved this.

Misha, thank you very much, for the amazing driving!😉 It was as if I was behind the wheel of this unique sports car. 😎 As a Honda fan, I am simply delighted with how the NSX handles and holds the road! Hello from Qazaqstan, Almaty!

I love this car. I had a chance to drive a '98. Just wonderful. Since I was a kid. Just perfect. I hate it when people say that theyre slow......yes...compared to todays high end sports cars and exotics possibly......but if you enjoy the experience and just drive one....they'll gobble up 150-160mph and have a surprising amount of midrange torque.

I’m 54 and remember the day the nSX went on the market people laughed in the beginning but then everyone fell in love with the style and reliability but it was lacking in power if they just had an extra 50-100 HP when they came out it would have stolen the super car market .. the worst day in NSX history the new model was being reviewed by a single famous known car journalist, Chris Harris openly criticized the car at the track saying it was numb and because he was the first to talk about it there was no one that wanted to go against Chris so everyone started bashing it meanwhile it was insane at the track it was insane at the drag strip and was one of the most reliable cars on the market (Honda) but because Chris bashed it every moron on KZbin bashed it without ever driving it I believe the statement was it’s to easy to drive and numb lol Chris was the one person that ruined the NSX all because he was having a bad day or his wife screwed his brother .. if anyone ever gets behind the wheel of the newest model NSX you will fall in love right away it’s a great daily for a single person or a couple it’s great on gas and will be your most reliable car and never trust a man that gets paid to review cars because they are bias. who’s giving them the most behind the scenes can you imagine Toyota knowing Chris was going to review there rivals new super car and they give Chris a hundred grand in his Cusin’s bank account under a false name lol who would be expecting something like that ?

Interesting to hear the UK reaction. In North America it was an explosion of acclaim. Road and Track and Car and Driver were very enthusiastic. I probably still have those magazines. This car CHANGED ALL SUBSEQUENT super cars. The garbage shifters and demonic handling was no longer OK for the you know who European sports car makers. A watershed moment in sports car history.

There's a dark blue NA2 in my town i see once in a blue moon when there's perfect weather on a weekend. Absolute stunner. First time i saw a NSX as a little kid in the 90s i immediately thought it was the coolest thing ever. My dad was a honda guy and also an engineer so he told me about the aluminum body and how hondas had the best suspension with double wishbones and multi-link setups. I almost bought a beat up high mileage NA1 in the 2008-2009 recession when they were in the $20K-$30K range but thought it was too irresponsible a purchase to buy a sports car with all my savings and instead kept saving for a house.

Magical There are people watching this video, with kids half way to highschool, those people weren't even born yet when this car was built. And yet it still looks that good, and drives like that, for a daily drive... That right there is a benchmark for excellence.

Wow, ear gasm! And as always Misha, brilliant driving! Smooth, fast and music to the ears. Would agree 100% its one of the best sounding NA v6's, pure emotion and passion and so much soul when going through the rev range. Its a pity that great sounding NA cars like these are on a decline. In my opinion I would say some of the best sounding NA 6 cylinder motors came from the pre "Turbo Charge Everything" era, like the Alfa Rome 155 Ti v6, Nissan 350Z, Lotus Evora V6, Lotus Exige 380 Sport LT, Ford Mondeo ST220, Lexus IS250 , IS300 and BMW E36 325, 328, 330 just to mention a few. Not against turbo motors, the sound of a NA motor being pushed till redline just hits different, it gives those racing vibes!
