correction at 1:40 i suggested that Ubi told me that Basim's breathing changes as a response to me saying the parkour is clunky. that was my mistake. i think i falsely associated those two ideas. what actually happened is 1. i played and thought it felt clunky 2. we went on a tour of the studio and they mentioned Basim's breathing change 3. i played more of the game and began to feel more comfortable with parkour 4. i interviewed devs later and they mentioned the breathing as part of his evolution in parkour after playing i don't think there will be actual parkour gameplay changes with Basim over time

I am a hard core AC Fan. I friend of mines got me into the series decades ago. He was stuck on a mission couldn't get passed. It took a few tries to get uses to the games mechanics. Once i did i was hooked. I have played almost every AC game, some mor then twice. I still play AC Black Flag n occasionally AC Origins, sadly never finished AC Valhalla. I want to thank you foe your detailed hands experience with AC Mirage, it help to get a better feel for the game. I had watched quite a few other KZbinrs videos befor viewing yours. The way yuo conveyed your feeback of the game, was as Shakespeare writing an romance novel to the old AG games. It seem to be an almost perfect merger of old n new. The one thing that found disheartening was the combat, it seemed like an afterthought. The greatest accomplishment n evolution of the new AC games was the variety of weapons n the combat. And were the game losses me. No one talked about how the weapons system works. To be limited to only using a sword and dagger. In other AC games you could pick up and use the enemies weapons. You could disarm the enemy and uses his weapon against him. You could go to a merchant and purchase weapons. The evolution of how they used weaponry in AC Origins to Valhalla was a set in the right direction. And what got people interested in the ne AC games. To be able to use what ever weapons combo your heart desired what made the game fun. Come on now to see the enemy bow man drop a recurve bow n not be able to use it. One more thing that made an AC game was the ability to loot the downed bodies of the enemies. You had a chance to find a variety of objects, one being the money. You was able to trow the coins n the crowds will block the pursuing emenies. Wasn't there an achievement for throwing coins to the npc's?? Any way it was fun. I'd throw coins the crowd would form and I'll pick pocket them to unlock the pick pocketing trophy of a 100 npc. I was going to preorder AC Mirage but I'm holding of even playing the game, if I'm limited to only using a sword and dagger as the main weapons. Not to be rude about it i think the swords ugly n they had many weapons in that era of time. Altair would be turning in his grave..

If there aren't any dialogue options, why the dialogue cutscenes still looks so mechanical and not motion captured?

@TheTolister Жыл бұрын
Ok but will there be that big difference between pre-rendered/acted cutscenes of the first ACs and Odyssey/Valhalla, since it uses the same engine? Because this looks like it was not more naturally capturing the acting of body and face, but just a mechanical movements glued together. In the characters faces, mainly eyes, you can tell.
@coronin8587 Жыл бұрын
When you think about it, the parkour being generally the same makes sense. This was originally a DLC, basically an AC Liberations to AC Valhalla that was turned into a larger project before they go forward on their actual big projects. With that said, the rest of the improvements made to the game from what we can see makes me hopeful that when they pivot away from making three of the same game (people apparently forget that the Ezio trilogy was literally the same stuff but a decade ago) we get stuff like side ejects or wall ejects and some such.

i think this release will be yet another tired example of online fans exciting themselves too much for what will be a totally normal game upon release. they're not reinventing the wheel here, and as someone who is extremely casually been playing AC since number 2... just looks like more of the same to me.

I would call myself a newer player. In the past year, I have completed Valhalla and Odyssey with DLCs. Prior to that, I had only played AC 3(I think??) and I was very young. I REFUSE to do melee as much as possible, it scared me LOL so in those games it took me muuuuch longer and it was not easy. I look forward to experiencing the actual assassin component. I am obsessed with odyssey, although I agree that the dialogue can be overly goofy and it was almost too big of a game- to the point that I did things out of order that the game didn’t intend me to do.

Gameplay still looks incredibly unfinished and rushed.. I'd expect animations and ragdolls, and collision to be perfected after so many game at this scope done with this engine... more so considering how soon this is meant to be released. By looking at the gameplay and what you have to say one question still remains: why does this exist? And you answered it as well…nostalgia. I ve been playing AC since the very beginning and I honestly have no interest in revisiting locations that I’ve already visited. I know it’s not the same as the first one but it does feel and look exactly like it. Personally this is one of those AC games that I’ll skip! I actually want to go somewhere new.

Ubisoft lost the spectrum... this is going to be like Valhalla with its load of horsesh1t spew of having 'classical' elements from the 'Classic Assassin's Creed' or returning to it even though it wasn't like that, even when it was implemented poorly... AC fans still ridiculed Ubisoft because of that in which ppl like Jayvee got famous for not liking Valhalla and odyssey as much but when the time comes...
