Whilst on my way to finally getting my tools back I thought it would be the perfect time to answer some of your questions.
1, The cjrshop asked:
Did you get your tools back?
Mikeroark819 asked:
But did they let you in?
Steve Worrell, Donald Davis, Andrew Gormley and Karen J and many others all asked similar questions…
It has been some weeks now since I was in America and many of you have asked; was I allowed in to clear out my desk. Well the short answer is, no. Instead I was sent a message saying that they were going to round up what they considered to be my stuff, pack it into a container and send it back to the UK. This morning I got a message from someone else letting me know the container has arrived and has already been unpacked. Hurrah, my stuff is here! Rather conveniently 'here' is only an hour and a half from my house! So, it's another opportunity to answer to your questions…
2, Brian McDermott asked:
I'm considering buying a 1983 Porsche 911 that, for whatever reason, the current owner has swapped a GM 350 V8 into, whatwill be the most difficult part of putting back an original engine in?
Now, Chuck Schilling commented: that he couldn't imagine how a 350 could be squeezed into a 911 engine bay without thoroughly destroying the structural integrity and value of the car…and it is a good point!...
3, TheTexasRaceFan57 asked:
Edd, seems like you have trouble fitting into most cars, what is your personal car you drive?
Lenny Brassneck asked:
Edd, what's your daily driver, and why?
In UK; Range Rover (Full size obviously), Casual Lofa (sofa car).
In United States; Cadillac Escalade ESV, Nissan NV V8, for 9 inlaws.
4, Jade Latent from the Edd China Appreciation Group asked:
From where does Edd get all his cool and crazy shirts from?
JohanssonFoitek asked:
Hi Edd, remember you wearing a nice MonzaGP56 or so t-shirt! Where did you buy it? Is there a plan to sell on your website?
5, Trey Pontious asked:
When are new episodes of Wheeler Dealers coming?

Indeed, let's hope he gets his own show.. New host for Top Gear?? Couldn't stand MB in the later episodes, very cheesy & said some cringeworthy things on WD. Loved everything Edd did fixing all the cars up. Even now, after watching all the episodes, I still watch the repeats on Dave, only because I like to see Edd fixing things, nothing to do with MB ;-)

Hi Ed I watched your skills and expected that from my local mechanic. After having my car fixed I found some of his tools left in my engine. I returned them and said for them to watch your past shows. Thanks from America for your quality. !!!!

tiffany branton Brewer was just so false!! He was just an annoying interruption to what should have been Ed China doing his thing... I didn't think personally that the American thing worked for us Brits but l get the Commercial angle. We don't see too many Dodge Chargers in the UK. I have watched the program from the start and even live in the same Area as Ed, seen him and his family shopping in our town. A Great Program but there is no way that the car sells at any profit at the finish stage.

Yes I thought that.Have worked on many old bangers from 62 onwards and basically had to learn myself through trial and error ( garage charges in the early 60s were expensive ) he has a way of explaining it all without any clever than thou attitude, almost as though he remembers what its like when u know naff all. A right diamond geezer.

Hey Edd, I just wanted to say how much of an inspiration you are to me on your attention to detail and explanation of the work at hand. I live on the east coast in the US and met someone that went to school with you and confirmed that you truly are a good person and what we see is real. I wish you the very best of luck on your future endeavors and hope to see you soon back on TV. Speaking as a viewer and fan we all enjoyed the details in the garage. Keep it real. Jeff M

Hi Edd, so glad you got your stuff back, must have been a bit of a pain. Not the way you should have been treated after all those years. It was very big of you to say you would be watching the new series. A sign of a true gentleman that you can rise above it. Just an idea for when you get your new workshop, how about renovating some old sports mopeds, SS50, FS1E etc. Many of us have very happy memories of these old bikes. All the very best in whatever you do and looking forward very much to seeing you back on the box.

This tells me that the split was very acrimonious. They would not let Edd on property to recover his tools. If I were in Edds shoes I never would have left without my tools being that they are a mechanics livelyhood.
