For sure. I was 8 years old and I remember watching it LIVE as I was a Cale Yarborough fan. I told this to Donnie and he said “I knew there was a reason I didn’t like you” 😂 jokingly

Bobby Allison sticking his nose in was the problem. He instigated the whole thing. Cale actually played football and was a great running back. Not sure about the rumor of his competing in golden gloves boxing but regardless both Allison's bit off more than they could chew if it wasn't broken up.

Cale was tough as nails. Donnie told me Bobby started fights and he would finish them 😂

But for a blizzard and nothing else to watch NASCAR might have become just a memory. I have been listening to the races on the radio and this was the first time they aired one on television, it was cool AF. 😊

I remember that day as a kid, and watching it LIVE as well. I grew up in Charlotte

Donnie is a story teller. He crashed ole Cale. Because he was almost always in the way. I like Bobby and Donnie. But boy is he a big talker when the other guy isn’t around to tell his side of the story.

😂 Donnie always has some great stories every time we talk.

Back in the day there was wrestlin’ and racin’ in Charlotte that was all I watched on tv. This race fit right in to both 😂

Little short squaty guy? The little short squaty guy was more than you could take on the best day of your life Donnie. My money on Cale against you and your brother. This is a fish story.
