The pants for the shamrocks have celtic knots which is a staple of Irish religion and culture you can find them in Irish catholic crosses and other religious pendants, they originated in ancient Ireland pre Christianity, and were included in Christianity to make conversion easier

My personal favorites - Aviators Bisons Bulls Dreadnoughts Golden Eagles Shamrocks Thunderbirds Lots of good options with them, however Shamrocks and Golden Eagles are weird cause they make no sense outside of Ireland and Mexico, so I probably won’t ever use them.

With the Oilers uniform, I think it’s primarily red due to the Titans classic uniform they launched this year. I think they probably wouldn’t be allowed to use the classics because the titans owner doesn’t like properly sharing the classic look or IP just because they are greedy.

I think what they went for with the logos on the helmet, is to make it look like the face of the logo's is the face of the player. Could be good with some of the logos, but others just looks terrible. Especially when its not cut out correctly. The bisons logo couldnt even tell without looking at it for ages that I realised that it was the full logo. They should have went with the horns cut out like the logo on the Vikings helmet.

I think the reason for the “colorless” socks is more just the trend of players and teams are wearing in general. We are seeing more and more players now ditch colored socks for more simple colors. Most notably Players on Teams with white pants are wearing white socks instead of the team color socks. Newer teams uniforms are ditching color socks as well especially on away sets. Even the bills are ditching the striped socks for either white or solid blue

43:10 as a coder I can explain why they use the buccaneers template. It is sorta intentional so yes and no. What likely happened here was that they need a working "model" in this case uniforms to make the madden relocation uniforms. If I had to guess, there is no universal "model" to where you can branch of and make all 32 nfl teams uniforms from that universal model which is stupid imo. So all 32 teams have 32 different uniform models. So for the relocation teams, it would require them to make new models for all the relocation teams which is a lot of time and effort to make from scratch so it would be faster to just copy a random already made model(in this case the bucs) and modify it with new colors patterns etc. For all intents and purposes, its works fine if you do that and there should be no issues and copy and pasting is like 90% of what your doing as a coder so its a common practice. however you will run into some occasional problems because your using a model that was meant for another team so you just need to revise it very carefully. Basically they use the bucs template because it allows them to make the different uniforms faster, you just copy and past then modify and your done quicker than making a brand new model. But it isnt intentionally the bucs

While Im still going to trudge forward with an alternate league save this year with these teams, I cant stress also how much it pains me EA decided to take away 17 other options, some of them "original" relocation teams. I cant argue with the jersey/uni ratings here and this is from someone who plans on opening his save with the Brooklyn Sentinels. I would like to point out, you CAN double up in cities in the US region should you want to stay in house or have a team or two in Canada/Mexico. I.e. Brooklyn Sentinels are going into the NFC North while the Brooklyn Bulls (not 100% with that decision) go in the AFC North. Im still mapping out divisons and teams. Most are underwhelming though and the biggest save is having the ability to make a whole new league.

Damn, I always loved the Lancers logo. Also, total BS to remove the Diablos, they literally could've just reskinned the Vikings helmets. Kind of agree on the international cities being added. The helmets with the cut off logos, it looks like they were trying to do what the Rams/Eagles have but failed. The reason the Rams/Eagles ect helmets look good is because they isolate the horn/wing/ect. and orientate it on the helmet to make it look like the players have horns ect. What EA did is just take the full logo, increase the aspect ratio, and plop it on the helmet... They couldn't even bother photoshopping out the part they want on the helmet (example the Bulls helmets with the horns) It's just a travesty that EA is allowed to continue half-assing every single thing in the only NFL "sim" game...

As well as just the traveling schedule to all of these out of the US sites, think of the monetary impact. Baseball struggled with this for years with the Montreal Expos and Toronto Blue Jays. Do players get paid in USD? How to they get taxed? What Madden should have done is keep those stadiums for an alternate, neutral site game that a couple of random teams get every year, just like they currently do, and then give a lot more options inside the US. The only outside the US locations that make sense are Mexico and Canada.

Deleted Logos/teams: Aftershock: Was never one of my favorite uniforms, but a decent team name Barons: Didn't like having ANOTHER New York team, but the uniforms looked good Bats: Never liked the uniforms Beats: Never liked uniform Bulldogs: The last Madden I played, I created a universe around the Washington Redskins (they were still called that then). In my universe, Dan Snyder was getting all kinds of pressure to rename the team just like in real life. When asked about it, he literally said in real life, "If you have $200 billion to buy the team, you can buy it and call it anything you want to!" So a wealthy businessman in London called his bluff, gave him his asking price and in the following season the Redskins moved to London to become the Bulldogs. The rivalries would be even greater as The London team would have in their very own division, America's team; the Dallas Cowboys. Then there is the iconic New York Giants, and Philadelphia, home of the Liberty Bell! I loved the Bulldogs uniform that had the red shirt, it really popped. Celtic Tigers: Not a fan Not a fan of many of the others save for, what might be one of the best uniforms, The Sacramento Miners.

One opportunity for realism that EA consistently misses is the regular attention that NFL media have always integrated into their broadcasts is the cityscape of where the game is being played. Madden has attempted to capture the surrounding areas of NFL stadiums to glorious failure, and could especially improve this feature with today’s technology. They can probably even show the traffic around the stadium or city lights in real time if they wanted (not saying that’s necessary). To that end, the only thing for me that would make it remotely interesting to play a team from Paris or Tokyo Buenos Aires, etc. would be if the game captured the environment around the stadium.

yeah I see what they were trying to do by including all of these international cities but if you are going to do that you need to rework the system altogether. These logos are not designed or intended for use across every major city in the US and now to ask them to fit with different countries is just dumb. The pregame, halftime, postgame camera swoops of the stadium/city being played in would really up the immersion for games but I just don't see them prioritizing it unfortunately.
