Good points......that should also help with irons/hybrids, too. Should also have straighter drives too.

This is the best instruction I've seen yet about how the swing should be done. Thank you, Matt. You're still one of the best at making things understandable.

Great advice. I played yesterday and my driver and 3 wood were just slicing and duffing all over the place. Shot a 105 if I could get the going straighter I might have broken 100 for the first time. Booking up to play tomorrow after seeing this.

Really helpful and worked well initially. Think I'm struggling with how my weight should be through the process of the swing. Would love to see this with some force plate type data or just discussion of how weight flows through out the driver swing

My drives have been failing me lately and I’ve grown frustrated. This was a great reminder of some simple steps to get back to more consistency on the tee box.

Thanks a lot Matt. I have been forever wondering what I was doing wrong. A lot of people may have lost interest as the golden nugget is nearly 3/4 way thru at 07:40. Thanks

This might be the golden nugget Is this the same for irons I would think YES

I look forward to trying this. One question - it 'feels' like early extension - how do you stop this when moving legs/hips first? Thanks

Does this same thought work for irons as well, getting ready to try it

Hi Matt, any advice on helping me with a chronic back / hip pain? Is there a back support available or should I change my shafts for longer ones? Colin Stidwell

It’s almost like these tips were aimed specifically at me with those 3 faults. That 185 yard slice is my stock drive. 🙁 I’ll definitely be at the range giving this a go tonight. Cheers.

Thanks Matt! I will try this drill. My tee pegs are all over the place and i have a minus 7-10 degree in to out on average path. My golf game is a 5hcp and my driver is a 25hcp 😂 I also see high spin numbers. Even with a 170 ballspeed i only carry average of maybe 240 yards. You think this will help lower spin as well? Cheers

Should you tilt a tad in set up ? So the legs explode

Great tip. But the synchro part is probably the hardest thing to master. We see you doing it and it looks pretty easy. but you're a rpo, aren't you? For the common golfer, that' no piece of cake!

Hiya Matt. I'm struggling with my irons/hybrids from 6 to 3. Can't get a good contact, not sure where the ball should be positioned etc?
@davewatkinson44844 ай бұрын
Here's what my Pro told me in my lesson. 1/ Tee up ball. Address the ball so you club is in the middle of your stance but 3 inches behind the ball. Get into your setup as if setting up for an 8 iron, shaft lean etc. then move the club head to the ball, do not move your shoulders, the only thing that should change is the shaft lean will reduce. You ready to go. 2/ Also, with longer clubs the temptation is to swing the club faster with the arms, just keep it as you would an 8 iron. Takes a bit of practice but I could never hit my long clubs, I'm much better now as the technique stops you from ending up with your body position being all wrong.

Does this work with irons?

Yes but your intent is different in that we want to hit down with our irons
