But my challenge basically makes it where you have to get 5 of every vivisaur. 4 for the wonderous fossils, and 1 for the miraculous fossil. I call it “fossil fighters world champion”

The main reason that people probably don't like this game is how they were supposed to add in deleted content like a 3rd phase for Robo-Spongebob and Robo-Squidward into the main game, but instead it got put in the side multiplayer mode

No it sucks because the controls don't match the GameCube controller and it's glitchy as hell and I clipped through the floor 8 times in 5 minutes and the physics are off and the sound design is weird

It's kinda sad tbh, that the exact same unused content ended up being unused AGAIN, and not only that but this is the second SponegeBob game that would've made absolute bank had it not been rushed by Nickelodeon to match a stupid deadline for a movie, with the first one being Truth or Square for the Wii

My only major disappointment with the Remake was the fact that the cut content that they had promised that would make a return didn't actually end up returning in the way that we had wanted them to be re-added into the main game, instead just being repurposed into the new multiplayer mode. Especially since there have been evidences that the team was working on adding the cut content to the way they were originally designed before I'm assuming time constraints once again prevented them from being included. (Which is funny to think about, that they wanted this game to be out in time for that Sponge on the Run movie despite the movie having no relation to the game whatsoever, and then covid came and the movie had to be delayed anyway, so they were supposedly crunching for nothing.) But despite that, the remake is still a great way to play the game for those who didn't get to play it on GC, PS2, or Xbox back then.

I still remember this rehydrated game was released on my birthday AND the same day we got the Neither Update in Minecraft. I have a copy on the Switch and I lent it to my older sister so she could play it. I remember all of use collectively pointing out that Mr. Krabbs isn’t voiced by Clancy Brown. Good times, I ought to give it a try again myself. I can’t believe I never made the “Aww! I got dead again! This game stinks!” joke.

Ooh boy, this is gonna be a fun three hours lol I think for me, it's the visuals that kind of soiled Rehydrated. In isolation, it's a wonderful looking game. But I do feel like there was some kind of charm that got lost in translation from the original game's presentation, especially during the cutscenes. The animation in Rehydrated's cutscenes feel more rigid and less expressive than in the original's. Thankfully they managed to get that rectified in Cosmic Shake.

EDIT: I made it to the mermalair It'd be pretty interesting to see you do a soulslike, since you like them so much. Part of me wants me to suggest Code Vein specifically because it's the Most Anime Soulslike and I feel like that would be funny. EDIT 2: Fun fact: Many species of puffer fish are predatory. Spongebob BFBB Was my PS2 jam!!! And Rehydrated was a trip to my childhood! Though as much as loved the remake, they could have done more to make it a new experience. It sounds like they ripped the voice lines and soundtrack straight from the original; when they could have rerecorded voices and given the music some new life

This video encouraged me to get back into the game (corrupted computer hdd/lost progress) and shoot for the last achievement I needed (all socks). Such a fun game. ALSO I STILL NEED TO TRY THAT ONLINE MULTIPLAYER SQUIDWARD BOSS! EDIT: Finished the vid. I recommend for sanity sake not also 100%ing the old school battle for bikini bottom (unless there are a bunch of funny mods added to keep you sane).
