Never forget that when this game was mentioned during the 2024 Game Awards, there was absolute dead silence and you wanna know what game got the biggest applause? The Marvel VS Capcom Fighting Collection, and sure MVC is a pretty beloved franchise but think about it for a second: a compilation game got more applause then a game that was completely originally made.

By the way, don't knock Beetlejuice. He was brought in because 1.) His movie was a cult classic at the end of the 90's, with Michael Keaton delivering a fantastic performance, and 2.) A sequel was released - Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice - was just as good. And he sure isn't obscure. My picks for future Multiversus fighters are probably more obscure than him (especially anyone from Kids WB! shows)..

It's got a higher player count that Concord and Dustborn combined! The good news is that we're getting Daffy Duck and Lola Bunny this season. Of course, they should've been in the vanilla base game in the first place rather than us having to wait years after and getting Looney Tunes reps that I'm not keen on (i.e. Marvin the Martian). Now all we need is Droopy Dog (a couple _Tom & Jerry_ reps would not be a bad idea) Buster and Babs Bunny from _Tiny Toons,_ the Animaniacs, Betty Cooper from _Riverdale_ (I've got a big crush on the actress), ALF (supposedly his TV series was distributed by the WB), Johnny Bravo, Hunter from _Road Rovers,_ the SWAT Katz, Green Lantern Hal Jordan (voiced by Nathan Fillion), The Mask, Ace Ventura, Fred Flintstone, George Jetson, Yogi Bear, Penelope Pitstop and Dick Dastardly w/ Muttly from _Wacky Racers,_ Captain Caveman, Jabberjaw (Frank Welker can easily reprise this role, at 77 going on 78, he's still putting in work like the Nobel Prize Winner that he should be), Speed Buggy, Freakazoid, Jim KIm from _Detention,_ Space Ghost, Rikochet from _Mucha Lucha,_ and the Winchesters from _Supernatural_ (the most long-rated show on the CW SHOULD be given the red carpet treatment for long-time fans).
