Fun to watch. Always cool to see other VO's process. On recordings that short do you use a punch n roll method, or just keep recording and edit out mistakes afterwards?

Punch and roll for sure. Only way to make the editing process so short. Before I used punch and roll the edit usually took as long as the recording session. Now you can see it took 50 minutes to record and 10 to edit. Great question :)

Hi James, I tried contacting you through your website, but to no avail. My main goal for reaching out to you is getting an update to a video you did on creating your own DIY Demo when starting. You mentioned that putting a Voice Over on top off a previously recorded commercial that had no Voice Over, was a good way to get started. You asked for insight from your community to see if such an approach was illegal or breach of copywrite law. Under Creative Commons rule and changing the end product without selling or renting the final product, did you ever get a final answer to the question, IS IT OKAY TO DO? Thanks for answering me.

Thanks for reaching out. I don't have a definitive answer. I've done it and it's been about 3 years now. Doesn't mean it won't get you in trouble and perhaps it has to do with where you show it and how you position it. If you post it all over the place and say I worked with x brand (lie) it may go poorly. But really I can't say for sure if it's legal or not.

Great video. Is your main website having some issues? I can't connect to it through your About KZbin page.

I let the personal website go. I've thought about starting it back up. For now I might just list an email so people can get in touch with me.
