2:43 Oh the infamous lens flex cable snap. That cable can be replaced and also there is a mod that removes a parking mechanism so the lens is always extended.

Oh that’s good to know. It was a pain to use but I already miss it. Thanks for watching 🖖

I quite like a 28mm on full frame in moderation. Plus which it works out at 42 on a Fuji crop sensor, which I always like.

Yeah I think I prefer the 42, but I must admit I have been enjoying 28. I’m going middle of the road tomorrow and having a play with a 35mm on the full frame. Thanks for watching 🖖

I’ve done quite a bit of street photography with my Sigma DP1M with that same field of view and those files remain amazing and the glass is great. Clunky to use yes. But if what you care about is results, it’s totally awesome.

Absolutely agree. I often refer to it as the best worst camera I’ve ever used lol I’ll likely have another before long because I do miss it🖖

It's not a Foveon sensor but if you're looking for a 28mm field of view that has a filmic look the Ricoh GXR 28mm F2.5 is nice. I did video on it last year which shows the ergos of the camera and the usual sample gallery, there aren't many videos on that specific GXR camera so might be of help if you're interested

The GXR is the modular one, right? I’ll give your video a watch later👍

@@DavidFlowerOfficial yep it is I have the full set of modules

Okay, I didn't even finish the video or click to see if you have merch (I will totally finish the video, I'm a fan), but if you need a merch idea, what about "The Osmo Did Me Dirty," because if I had been drinking coffee or tea, I would have spit it out in mid-snort-laugh, while reading that onscreen. Please, I'd order one a t-shirt or sweatshirt, and I'd pay for extra shipping to the USA. :0) Okay, back to the video. Or, "I'm longing for October" because I am, too. Oh, yes, I am, too. That's too bad about your camera. I have been curious about those cameras and sensors, too. There is something quite lovely about a fixed lens, or just working with one lens, to learn that field of view/focal length. This past winter I sold a Ricoh GR (the first one), and I'm not quite sure why. I regret it now, but for a 3 1/2 years I used it a lot, and it did help me to better appreciate that focal length or field of view of 28mm. No matter the camera or lens, there is something quite lovely, freeing, and clarifying of certain camera and lens. Anyway, thank you for your video.

That osmo….such a fantastic little camera but sometimes it just point blank refuses to behave😂 In the short time I had the dp1s I genuinely loved it despite it being a pain in the behind to use. It’s a look I tried to replicate as a preset but I couldn’t make it work. I read that the fault on mine was fixed in later cameras so if you do decide to get one, perhaps a Merril would be a good option. Thanks for watching, have a great week 🖖😁
