Ahh so happy for you! I’ve wanted braces forever. Considering getting Invisalign now that I’m in Korea and it’s a lot cheaper than Japan!

Oh my gosh you're right! I remember your bunny teeth (which were cute) from a while back but the change has been so gradual. I love that you've gone for a natural smile rather than the weird Hollywood Barbie teeth everyone has because it looks really bad imo. They look so nice!
@DaebakOfficial6 жыл бұрын
hahah yeah I didn't really mind my bunny teeth aesthetically but I do prefer them like this haha it looks a bit cleaner I guess? and yes, I really don't like those fake teeth people have put in over heir real ones, just the thought of shaving away your real teeth makes me cringe /Ida

I never realized your teeth was sticking out too much, but your smile does look great . I can't believe it only took less than 8 months. That's awesome.! I had Invisalign, took about year and a half to finalize. It cost me about $4,900.I use to be ashamed of my teeth. I hated to smile, I had what you called vampire teeth that protruded out. So my smile affected the shape of my face when I smiled. But now I love my teeth. I only wished I done it years ago. But I couldn't afforded back then. So happy it worked out for you.
@DaebakOfficial6 жыл бұрын
yeah 4 months was crazy fast :o and I can totally relate, now I actually get less deep lines around my mouth when I smile cause my teeth fill out that space from the inside if that makes sense haha I really like it hehe /Ida

Oh my gosh, that’s so strange... when you were describing how your teeth used to be, I kept thinking, “Yup, sounds like my teeth...” until I was kinda creeped out by how similar it was. I’m planning on moving to Korea anyway in the next year, so I will definitely keep this in mind, it sounds like exactly what I need! And, judging by how your teeth are now, I’d definitely say it works...

That's a really short period to have braces! I've never heard of someone only having to have them for 4 months, I was told that my teeth are very easily moved as well and I had to have mine for 6 months. I didn't have much pain either except for when eating in the first few weeks and mine were free as in the UK you don't have to pay for necessary dental care as long as you are under 18 (which I was at the time), so overall it seems I had a pretty good experience!
@DaebakOfficial6 жыл бұрын
right I was so shocked! and I'm happy your experience was similar to mine with minimal pain! yay! :D yeah it's free in Sweden until you're 23 I think but they didn't think it was "necessary" for me to have it :( /Ida
@Me-wx5ik6 жыл бұрын
It's interesting that they told you it was unnecessary even though it eventually meant you couldn't easily close your mouth, maybe it's because the maximum age is higher or something so they're more strict because an NHS GP sent me to an orthodontist for free for underbite.
@DaebakOfficial6 жыл бұрын
well they also probably thought I'd grow in to it when I was younger, and since it didn't cause me any trouble chewing I guess they didn't want to move stuff around.. :/ they also kept saying that my lips would push my teeth back eventually but clearly that didn't happen hahaha /Ida

I had braces for a year and a half to fix my overbite and it was torture, the only thing more painful than having them tightened was putting on the rubber bands the day after. They were pretty expensive, around 4,800 U.S. dollars. It wasn't a good experience and in the end they didn't fix my teeth 100%. I actually had a friend who had them for 6 years so I guess he had it worse, anyway I hope you have a good day!
@DaebakOfficial6 жыл бұрын
oh wow, yeah these were the stories I'd heard before :O that's around the price mine cost as well, I wonder if it hurts less (and took wayy less time) for me because the technology got better? I'm sorry it didn't fix your teeth fully after all the pain you had to go through :( would you consider getting braces again to fix it or did you just accept your teeth the way they ended up? ^^ maybe it wasn't too off? /Ida
@ashleymichelle9726 жыл бұрын
Daebak I have definitely considered getting braces again mostly because I still can't close my mouth when I sleep, but seeing as I'm in university which means I'm broke I have to wait until I graduate.

As an adult this sounds like a great option! 😊 Were you able to eat whatever you wanted or did you have a special diet?
@DaebakOfficial6 жыл бұрын
i had a lot of restrictions but it didn't really affect my diet, mostly i wasn't allowed to eat hard or "snappy" (haha) stuff like I mentioned in the video ^^ so for example apples/carrots/nuts, hard crackers or fudge or other sticky chewy foods. since I couldn't really chew I had to stick to stuff that was either soft or would dissolve easily (ew sorry hahah) in the mouth so rice, soft bread or pasta was fine ^^ I just had to cut my food into small pieces before eating :) /Ida

@DaebakOfficial6 жыл бұрын
oh, they haven't given you one of those plastic things to wear when you sleep?? it's really bad for your teeth if you grind them and it can give you headaches and stuff :/ I have friends who wear those protective things at night or they'll be out of teeth way too soon haha /Ida

Daebak they did....I chewed through it and it broke 😂 Never went back for a replacement. Yeah I alwaaaays get headaches! Damn don't say that Ida, I need my teeth! 😳

@2760db6 жыл бұрын
Daebak Yeah I probably should! 😬 I don't know about you though but when I had them sometimes I got scared that they'd fall out of place and I'd choke on them in my sleep..... 😬😬😬 Botox? Dang no way, don't wana change my face shape or anythin
@DaebakOfficial6 жыл бұрын
hahaha no no that's not how botox works ^^ they'd inject it in your jaw muscle so it relaxes and you can't grind as hard ^^ it's pretty common, you can get it in your temples too if you have chronic headaches :) it's used as medicine, not for beauty ^^ look it up! (I'd never do it personally cause I'm deadly scared of needles, but I also don't have a medical reason to want it haha) it might be a better alternative for you than being scared of choking to death/grinding away your own teeth hahaha /Ida

I think mine were like 2-3 thousand And that was because my whole family minus my mom got braces from the same teeth fixing place so they made it cheaper not that's cheap. And I had them for 1 year and 6 months? Around there 1 year and some thing. Anyway I'm glad your happy with your teeth!

my teeth are like yours before braces. I have a small mouth. (but my teeth are crooked on the bottom too T.T) but in the usa dental work costs so so much! and they said mine was only cosmetic so insurance wouldn't cover it even though like you I can't keep my mouth naturally closed when relaxed. it's always open if i'm not focusing on keeping it shut. this makes more plaque build up on my teeth becasue my mouth is always open when i'm asleep T.T But when i'm done with school i'm planning to look into invisalign becasue i really want straight teeth and to be able to keep my mouth closed T.T only thing i'm worried about is that my teeth won't easily move like you because I was about to get braces but I needed to wear a spacer first to make some room between my teeth but I wore it for like 5 months and my teeth barly moved and it caused me so much pain that I stopped wearing it and wasn't able to get braces

Your smile looks great! :-) I'm getting braces in june on the inside of my upper teeth (called topjet) for around 6-12 months (I also don't mind at all because it's not visible haha) and then normal braces (maybe white ones on the top teeth) for 1,5 years, I chose the normal ones since I'm paying for them T.T It costs 3600 euro in total but I think it'll be worth it :-)
@DaebakOfficial6 жыл бұрын
thank you! it'll definitely be worth it, and you start seeing results the moment you get them put in ^^ so satisfying haha I actually got a gap between two of my teeth (you can see it in one of m y videos if you look close) one time but when I got the braces tightened again it was already gone when I left the dentist :O it's crazy how fast it is haha /Ida
@lokilina4836 жыл бұрын
ONLY 4 MONTHS??? wow even my friends who had almost straight teeth had to wear braces for at least a bit more than a year and they had to tighten them once a month, not every two weeks... Also, i hear invisilign is way cheaper there.. ill end up moveing to korea just to get my teeth fixed
@DaebakOfficial6 жыл бұрын
yeah I was so shocked hahah like, it's a huge difference in the before and after so my teeth must have moved extremely quickly :O I heard a lot of good things about invisalign (and dentists haha) and they offer it as the cheaper alternative here if your teeth aren't too messed up hahaha I googled it earlier and apparently it is even more expensive than normal braces in other countries! so weird haha here it's the cheap quick fix /Ida
@ZYaruru6 жыл бұрын
Wish I was loaded of money haha. I did the braces from my 16 to 18, was okay, I was told "your wisdom teeth won't have to be taken out you got enough space", guess what, all the work for two years has been ruined with my very first wisdom tooth. I am back to have crooked teeth at the top and I really hate this. Thing is, fixing your teeth costs an arm and a leg. I wish we could have some sort of insurance that forces the dentist to fix the mess whenever he caused some shit. And having frontal braces at 28 now... Huhhh... I can't :(
@DaebakOfficial6 жыл бұрын
oh no that's so annoying :( have you looked up invisalign? it's a lot cheaper than normal braces but it can't fix overbites and such.. however if it's just for straightening your teeth I heard it's great! my friend had it ^^ check it out if your dentist offers it and if it would work in your case! ^^/Ida

@ZYaruru6 жыл бұрын
I already looked it up but I can't pay for it yet (student loan ending september 2019, still got a few thousands of € to pay back -_-). I wish they could expose all of the details of the price they give and why it is expensive like this, because I am still trying to understand how fixing teeth can be more expensive than getting new boobs/nose or fixing broken bones and whatnot. I could buy a fridge + washing machine + dryer + brand new laptop it was still less expensive... XD
@DaebakOfficial6 жыл бұрын
probably cause they have to keep adjusting your braces (and invisalign you'd have to re model every time) so it takes more time for them plus more resources :/ a boob job is just one time and then you're done haha /Ida
@ZYaruru6 жыл бұрын
When you put it that way, it does make more sense indeed haha. x) Well, when you have good results it always feel like a good investment anyway. It's when it doesn't work you wonder if this is really worth it... It doesn't stop me from smiling though ! :D

They should close a gap and at the same time give all other teeth more space. Now my once perfect bite is ruined (at the moment) and my teeth (including the once gap) are now pressing into one another more then ever. And a lot more teeth are twisted and stuff. I am just worried that they can`t give me back the space after pulling everything together...

Honestly, they only fixed your front teeth which is why it took only 4 months to get straight. Your molars are not properly aligned (no proper U curve) which can lead to teeth problems in the long term as your bite is incorrect. I think it's a shame you didn't fix the overbite issue too as although aesthetics are important, fixing your bite is the most important to have healthy teeth in the long run.
@DaebakOfficial6 жыл бұрын
no my upper and lower teeth were always aligned in the back :) the overbite was caused from sucking on my thumb so it did get corrected since they pushed back the front teeth and rotated them :) they went from a v shape to a u shape so the teeth sticking out were pushed back in line. if i wanted to completely re shape my entire jaw i'd have to have braces on both my upper and lower jaw plus pull out some teeth and i don't think pulling out healthy teeth is a good idea since you'll need them when you're older and they start falling out on their own haha ^^ /Ida

most modern teeth problems are probably coming from our unhealthy way of living. ancient humans used their teeth way more and the forces that acted on them were 100 times stronger. ancient cro magnons from europe had 0 problems with the placement of their teeth. theres not a single skull with an overbite or something similar. i bet if people actually would live more natural many people from developed countries would look way different.
@DaebakOfficial6 жыл бұрын
bangtu hauptilagie ... did you watch the video? 😂 Hahaha both of my parents have perfect teeth, but because I sucked on my thumb for 6 years I pushed my front teeth forward :) it's not a genetic condition I literally did it to myself /Ida
@bangtuhauptilagie48666 жыл бұрын
its probably not only your thumd sucking but also the absence of other influences that lead to your problem. like jewing on a tough piece of meat or plant fibers. how many modern western people need bracers? or how many can let their wisdom teeth grow? this was way more common in ancient times where people had bigger and stronger jaws. aeon.co/ideas/its-not-that-your-teeth-are-too-big-your-jaw-is-too-smal "But the jaw is a different story. Its size depends both on genetics and environment; and it grows longer with heavy use, particularly during childhood, because of the way bone responds to stress."
