thats the most basic improvisation. if you play piano for years and that impresses you, you wasted those years. a good pianist can play anything they want, at anytime as long as it doesnt require crazy mechanical skill. musical isnt magic. those common keys are something most musicians have practised so much, they can play shit by ear half-conscious.

The skill she has is called relative pitch (you can tell the difference because she has to hunt for the notes for a few seconds; with perfect pitch you don't have to do that). Hers is very well trained. And honestly, to me that's more impressive, because very good relative pitch takes years of training, whereas perfect pitch is just something you either have or you don't past early childhood.
