Sid is the most complete hockey player I've ever seen. He makes everyone around him better as well. You were right about his hockey IQ. He is so smart that was basically coaching the penguins since he came in as a rookie.

Sid is a stronger mcdavid, with just an insanely high hockey IQ. And not as fast but he is way faster within the first 2-3 steps. Sid is more of a leader because he literally makes everyone he plays with better. McDavid doesn’t have the same impact on everyone he plays with. Sid has always had way better coaching and linemates. McDavids career is only 50% or less (hopefully). Sid is already top 3 to ever play in my book. Sid saved a city, and lived, played, and got mentored by the 2nd best to ever play, Mario Lemieux. In my mind Gretzky, Mario, and Sid are all #1. Mario would have broken or got very close to gretzky’s point record and Sid has played like 200 less games than Ovechkin and he has more points than Ovechkin………Sid has a point total around ovechkins total

One thing that makes it crazy is his stick. In case you didn't know, there's a lot of different kinds and players usually have them personalized. His stick is shorter than a normal one and his blade is pretty flat, so doing moves like this would be rather difficult for most people but he makes it work.

Exactly! Same with another fairly ok player- Gretzky. (lol) They both were/are masters of the backhand, something that is easier with a flatter blade than a viciously hooked one, but harder to use in almost all other plays. And yet just see how they used that to their advantage over the years, eh?

The more you watch it and recognize NHL players, you'll start to know just who the defenders are that he's getting around lol. People like Doughty, Karlsson, and Keith were top defensemen at the time and Crosby still turning them inside out.

He had Brodie on spin cycle too, who is a top notch defensive defensemen. There is alot of footage of Brodie shutting McDavid down completely. Noone had an answer for Crosby when he was in his prime.

Yeah he’s that good. Most times I have to see the replay to see what he did. Remarkable player. Some of those vids when he’s wearing #9 are when he’s a kid…like 13. Did you notice some of the time he was wearing a shield? He’s playing with a broken jaw. I think that happened in 2013? He’s always a threat. I’d hate to be a goalie opposing him.
