Apart from the St Louis goal on Mothers Day after his mom passed away. I remember TJ Oshie after winning the cup in 2018 with Washington mentioning his dad who had dementia or Alzheimer’s and saying: he doesn’t remember much these days but I’m sure he’s going to remember this. Actually cried. As a Capitals fan, it just made that cup win even more emotional. It was my teams first and despite everything else that happened…. Vanquishing our ‘second round’ demons and beating the Pittsburgh Penguins, beating Tampa Bay (with Vasilevsky in net…who took the team to an ALMOST 3 back to back cups just recently), then beating Vegas (who in their FIRST SEASON as an expansion team, making it to the cup final) Oshie talking about his dad’s condition was just heartwarming…

the most beautiful sound in hockey in my opinion is when you score a goal after pinging it off the post or the crossbar. and on the other side of that conversation it is a beautiful sound as a goalie when you cant make the save but the post or crossbar does it for you.

Nothing like a good goal post "DING" ! The higher up the post the puck hits, the higher pitched the DINGGGG. A hit at the intersection of the post and the crossbar gives a sharp " BINK" instead of a DINGGGGG !!! It's my fav hockey game sound - both BINK and DING !!! LOL

Another great reaction. Matt, I've got a good one for ya. Mike richers most ridiculous saves for the New York rangers. Mike is who I'd really compare Johnathan quicks game to, both skill set wise, and in the fact they are great goaltenders for the U.S.A. hockey program.
