I love how common shinies are in this game. Normally having shinies be super common just means they're less valuable... But honestly, I don't care. Its nice to be able to shiny hunt without feeling like you're going to sink hundreds of hours into a vain attempt. They're rare enough to feel special, but common enough to be accessible for more casual shiny hunters. And no matter how "common" they get, hearing that shiny sound when a wild Pokemon spawns will always feel exhilarating.

Legends Arceus was such a good game. Shiny pokemon being easier to find, unique storyline, and ancient versions of pokemon we already knew in a past version of sinnoh! It even added 'primal' dialga, going as far as being frenzied and causing issues with the flow of time (yay pmd 2!). It also shows how the temple gets destroyed. The attention to detail was magnificent, and scarlet/violet were a step in the right direction on bringing this into the main line games. Even with all the bugs, im used to it.

My record currently is 23 shinys in 11 hours with no resetting of any kind while also getting 2 alpha shinys (lucario from outbreak and a wishcash from the spawner); all auto save on never turning off the game. Highest in an hour was 8 with 2 alpha shinys, but wasn't during the 23.

I love Crobat, when I was young I had no idea Crobat existed. I was doing a playthrough of a game and everyone was picking the same flying type so I decided to go with a Zubat, I'd had marginal success with them over the years so why not. Kept it for ages, evolved into Golbat and just kept using it expecting nothing else. Then one day it said it was evolving and I was so shocked I had no idea it had another evolution.

Great video!!!! New idea for you: "Catch all the typings in the game in a single day"!!! But pokemon can count as 2 typing e.g. empoleon would cover water and steel, rhyperior would be ground and rock etc.

I definitely agree with you about liking the Zubat line. I don't really like the shiny's colors though... I still like them because Golbat was the first shiny I found EVER (not in legends arceus), but I do think a white shiny would look nice on it instead, like an albino bat.

I'm shiny hunting myself and it's so rewarding when you get one appearing. I was doing a random magikarp MMO and got a sparkle. This is several weeks after getting my last shiny which was Basculin Alpha. My story with shiny Golbat: I was doing a shiny only playthrough of Arceus and this was the time when resetting stopped working so I was just doing outbreaks. I had 2 shinies (starly and shinx) so far and was at a bidoof outbreak. Heard the shiny sound and I was gonna be mildly upset because I already have a shiny bidoof and bibarel. Then, I realized no bidoofs we're shiny, turned around and it was a Golbat! I really appreciated that and I named him Poe. (if you curious my final team was Luxray, Crobat, Scizor, Staraptor, Rapidash, Golduck)
