I Had Problems Scalloping my Fender Vintera II 70's Stratocaster

the scallop of the original yngwie is REALLY shallow. I mean the custom shop 25k€ one, not the standard fender. I was really surprised when I had it in my hand for the first time. All my scallops are a little bit before the sidemarkers. more like the standard Fender YJM. Basically I've never seen anybody doing a really really light scallop like on the Custom Shop "play loud" YJM.

Yep. They are shallow, the guitars yngwie had when he was starting were all shallow scalloped, most likely by him too, he only started having deeper scalloping on his guitars when he started having them done by larry lashrbrook and eventually became standard on his signature guitars, I have a book of yngwie stage photos from 1980's to 1994 and the transistion of the depth of the scalloping was very obvious in the late 80's and early 90's.

I know you're disappointed, but it still looks good! Did you refret with jumbo frets ? What do you think about the 7.25 inch radius? Also are going to convert to 4 bolt neck plate for stability?

Thanks. Yes, I refretted this to jumbo stainless steel fretwires before. Will probably not convert this to a 4 bolt, I don't throw my guitars around like Yngwie does 😂. Also, 7.25 radius is not bad. I kind of like it more than 9.5 as long as the neck is not thick.
