I salute Makwa, funny a month ago I didn't know anything about Makwa or SAs hip hop, I'm a hip hop fan but never a local hip hop fan, I did listen to some popular rappers like Nasty C's A Reece and some but I didn't like them because they sounded more American than local so I never enjoyed their music, so I slept on SAs hip hop as whole until recently when on KZbin I came across kwestas "spirit" such a classic and I saw the attention it received from people all over the world appreciating the art & I was ashamed that I never knew such an amazing art, so I started to do my research on the construction of such a masterpiece then I found out about Makwa, I started to doing my research on him, that's when I learned about his vision for uMzonkonko....when I came across his song "Ayipheli" ft AKA & Maraza, that song hits me differently because I realized that this is what my soul has been craving for when it comes soul SAs music, I really believe in Makwa and uMzonkonko to a point where I wish I can meet groetman and work something out for uMzonkonko, I have brilliant ideas to push the work and I feel like being close to the Father of uMzonkonko we can take it to the next level, sorry to hear that he's even thinking of quitting it, for me I think SA still needs to hear more of uMzonkonko, right now he's going through the test of time, I believe if he has people who believe in such an amazing art he can put SAs on a map same way amapiano did...I said the same thing about amapiano ekasi lami in Durban back in 2017 when I used to play them and no one knew about it and I kept telling them that this piece of art will put SA on map & nobody believed me. Salute to Makwa, Nkululeko my brother and Nota🙏👌

For me as humans, we are different and we will always be, there is tribalism and racism too,it is mostly caused by historical wealth and sometimes I get it,for me it is important not to categorise everyone from those people as tribalist or racist, sometimes its silent, sometimes audible, but I will have to say as much as we don't tolerate it,we just have to live with it and all we can do is try to get bread in this hash world, because its hard when you come from a historically unporpular or not wealthy race/tribe,or so called small tribes, hopefully the fields will level one day,all we have is hope, hope also that the powers that be put laws to curb these things like that lady suggested.

Great Interview but next time allow the artist their own space to be free and open by not having people like Nota there. I mean we know these two went through some turmoil in 2021, how will Makwa freely express himself with Nota around. Now the interview becomes a bit censored in that way.

Nkulz amajita need to invest in education, I see many have no business knowledge of whatever art they undertake in, to me Makwa still sounds like there are things he does not know about the business, this trend of being robbed will not end because they invest more on being famous than understanding the the business, financially that is.

22 Million projected amount for the flag, Ques how did they get to 22 Million. 1st step feasibility study where you appoint a research institution first , which will hire quality researchers. These people will travel, get salaries, travel abroad and all expenses related to going abroad. 22 million is nothing , plus after construction more money has to be ploughed into documenting it as one of the key tourist places of South Africa. This needs the department to educate you all on this , the views are to clumsy on the matter and Nathis department key element is reshaping SA history not artists and sports.
