Good Morning! Wow, I have learned so much about chickens and turkeys from watching your videos. Treating Scaley mites is a lot of work. Especially catching them and holding them. Were you injecting the medication or putting it on their skin under their feathers? Scraping off the mites and rubbing Vicks Vaporub on their legs. Judy, You are such a good Mom to your babies! They get the best of care! Shane has cleared so much of your property for Dexter and Dei Dei…They are going to think they are in Hereford Heaven when they get their new pasture! Good morning Judy, Shane and Larry. Shane sure has made it beautiful for the cows. Judy my husband has been working on a new chicken coop for awhile. I keep telling him that it doesn't have to be fancy. Every time I look at the coop he's added a new item. I told him we're running out of time because winter is going to be here soon. I have 13 Guinea fowl that need to come out of the brooder and go into the current chicken run that houses our 35 chickens. Hopefully he'll finish this week. Think what has been suggested for your turkey sounds good. Both are recommended for scaly mites in chickens. Then perhaps treat coop/ resting areas with diatomaceous earth. The turkey you have with the condition may have lowered immune system as shown by the cysts he has. Think your plan is good!

judy you make sure you dont have to put a lien on your house to get the solar panels, my brother got panels at his house and when he passed away i was in charge of his probate and i could not put his house in his kids name until the panels were paid off, no they would not just put the bill in the kids name even though they had been paying the bill, to get the house in their name we had to completely pay off the panels. i also had a good friend whose wife passed away and he was moving in with his kids because the mortgage was to high for him, he was on a fixed income, they had gotten solar when she was alive and when the house was sold the price of the panels came out of his part of the sale of the house which left him with almost nothing, so make sure you do your research before signing anything, if you and shane plan on moving to a bigger farm in the future, you may have problems selling what you have without paying a big solar bill. just fyi
