Just a quicky here boys..if you have never played hockey but wanted to learn, football chest pads are 3 times thicker than hockey chest pads so when you get launched in football or get speared in the chest, you can quickly recover your breath and bounce up… in hockey, it feels like you hit a wall and your body will begin to start making you wheeze when inhaling breaths…. I remember a USA tournament where a 6’5 250-260 lb defensemen lined me up, took away my angle to exit the check and broke my skates when he made contact he hit me that hard in to the boards.. i couldn’t breathe for 30 seconds and my vision was dust for a solid minute.
