There is no proof that the people that created Palworld used AI to create their pals, stole assets from Pokemon, or used any unethical means in their creation of this game. If you're going to cite the video comparing the Luxray to a similar Pal, it came out that video was actually made up as a lie, because that person was upset that Palworld even existed. But, I am glad you guys are genuinely enjoying this game. Keep up the great content, I can't wait to see what you do next.

Ive been currently playing the game there is a bug that lets you catch the bosses with a zero percent catch rate. Get a wanted level fast travel to the boss have the guards follow you in and have them accidentally shoot the boss then throw a ball you will catch it I have the first boss in my game girl and all. The dungeon boss spawn is not a day night swap every time you leave the room far enough it changes bosses

Pal catching EXP scales with level, too. So you're better off doing literally everything else until leveling without catching becomes too much of a grind.

You get twice the amount of materials by catching then butchering them, though we know how well that's gone for you all lol. Also, you can catch merchants and have them in your base so you never have to visit a settlements again. Although be warned, don't let the PIDF see you attempting to do so, after all, you already know you'll be wanted. You can catch the "Gym" bosses btw, it's a glitch, but you have to be wanted to do it. To do so, get wanted, quickly fast travel to the tower, then head in, don't attack the boss, have the PIDF attack them, then throw any ball at them. It'll tell you there's no chance to catch, but it's a guaranteed success. Doing this however you have to die to leave the tower, so make sure you have nothing important on you, or change the server setting to not drop anything on death.

(Sorry for bad English in advance) I agree. I mean Direhowl (the black and white wolf Pal) and Lycanroc are both based on wolves so of course they'll look similar to each other. How are you supposed to make a wolf creature that looks original without making it look like a regular wolf or looking like Lycanroc? And some Pals don't even look like pokemon. I saw remember them calling Foxparks (I think that's how you spell it's name? The fire fox guy) "Vulpix" when Foxparks doesn't even look like Vulpix at all. And there's some Pals that look kinda like a Zoroark (Incineram and Loupmoon) but they're not exactly the same. Incineram (my favorite Pal so far) looks similar but it's just a bipedal black and red, demonic goat or something and Loupmoon I have no idea what it's supposed to be. But there are some cool designs like Cawgnito because bro's a plague doctor bird. And some people say that the water serpent dude (that I don't remember name of) is basically Gyarados when that Pal looks different enough from Gyarados. And the type chart of PalWorld can be confusing but at least they didn't make Dragon resist water, grass or fire instead it takes neutral damage. And Dark is super effective on Neutral (or Normal if you will). And what really made me mad is him saying that the Paldium Ore (the material mostly used to make Pal Spheres) is way to close to Paldean which is understandable but Palworld was in development before Scarlet and Violet was announced if I remember correctly. And at least Palworld wasn't a buggy mess when it came out. While it still has bugs (which is understandable for a Early Access game) the developers are focusing on fixing the bugs first instead of adding more Pals. And honestly I'm happy that Palworld has sold so many copies and is popular. I really like it personally and I don't care if the Pals were modeled based on the AI art or if they're basically a pokemon and whatnot. And I honestly think that Gamefreak could learn how to make a well optimized, fun game with really small amount of bugs

None of the pals are direct copies. Battles aren’t like Pokemon, no gyms, different items, no evolution, no copied sound effects, moves are named differently, crafting menu was free to use. You can’t copyright concepts

Both Pocket pair and Pokemon Company are japanese companys so if there really was something stolen they would have long ago get destroyed by Pokemon. Also japanese laws are more strict than in the US. At most they took inspiration.

Sorry for the long post you can skip it if you want it's just my opinion but I believe it's a fair compromise But he isn't fully wrong...lots of the designs are taken bits and pieces from other things already copyrighted, less than half their designs are truly original creations😂 it's sad we refuse to acknowledge that. Yes the gameplay looks fun, but I for one will not play it. Not as a Pokemon fan does these feelings emerge but as an artist I can't morally forgive the dev. He says it's not a parody so he should have told his artist if it looks like anything done before with no tweaks or copied assets...NOPE! Then sent them back to the drawing board. But he blatantly put creatures with Pokemon and other game assets/ design in his game. So I can't respect that, yes play what you want people but I always think of future games. Pokemon and other companies always have future ideas in the world years and years before release time. Pokemon probably has designs up to Gen 13 or 15 in the works. What if some of these designs are literally similar to convergent evolutions that Pokemon has started doing for future Gens. They release their games then boom another explosion of he copied them or more blame games of "HaHa I knew they would copy Palworld!" When they might have already had similar designs in their books.

@@tinaseaborn5266 What is your definition of a "truly original creation"? Is it original if you use something as inspiration? All art is derivative. There is no evidence that anything was copied from Pokemon models, the parts that are always talked about are propably traced. One thing that i dont understand is how so many people have problems with pals that have the same thematic as pokemon. Pokemon doesnt have the right to "Pyromancer Fox". Wixen has a completely different design to Delphox and Braixen, the only similarity is the thematic. The same with Fenglope, it and Cobalium are based on the same Legend. Fenglope is actually much more closer to the original Legend design than to Cobalium. It is only the similar colors that throw everyone off. There are only 4 Pals where i would say they took a bit too much inspiration, Those begin Verdash, Cremis, Boltmane and the Mega Mewtu Y Ripoff. Two of those are only in the files and not present in the game. Which means that not even 2% of the pals present in the game are a bit too close to Pokemon. Many also consider Azurobe to be one of the contenders for just "straight ripping pokemon off" and i dont agree with that. If your argument is "Thats a Fusion of Serperior, Primarina and Sylveon" then its fine for me. If you need to fuse three pokemon together to get one pal than it is its own design. I could propably describe most fictional creatures in monster catching games with a fusion of three pokemon. So quick rant on stupid comparisons aside, lets talk about your next point. I would like to have the source for your knowledge that the Pokemon company has the designs for pokemon up to Gen 13 done. That is mad copium from your side. I am sure that they have some designs lying around that they can use. Large companys take forever to get anything done since it has to go through bunch of management and marketing steps. There is no way they have the next 3 generations done. Lets come to your last point. So if i potentially have a Greavard drawing from 5 years ago in my notebook does that mean the pokemon company cant use Greavard anymore? No. I never released "my" Greavard and some artist in japan had the same thoughts and managed to create a similar design to "my" Greavard. Also on a sidenote, have you even taken a look at all the Pals? There are so many cool and unique Designs of known Thematics, especially Northern Mythology. Saying that half the designs are no creative is just an insult to the artist who created them.

Yes I have looked at the pals some I admit would be cool if more creativity went into the design like RobinQuill it's literally if a Gallade took a fallen Decidueye pelt and put it on. The flower on Dinoblossom is literally a cut copy of Liligants flower which is a unique flower created by Pokemon with a Goodra body underneath colored green. That's what I mean when designs are not "truly original" sure we can say a pyromancer fox isn't owned by Pokemon but the fact that you take the same animal and make it a pyromancer that's not cool, same color scheme similar up right posture based on a witch. Come on your creator literally was looking at the Fennikin line while they drew then made a few tweaks here and their to avoid copyright. I don't fault the creator because they probably like that Pokemon line and wanted to create their own but it's the dev I can't forgive. I want to be a game designer myself and true I see myself as a Lucario (female) in a gothic Lolita dress just as a homage to my favorite Pokemon (sigh yes I am a furry,anyway) but if i am designing game creatures if my artist did a creation that reminded me of any creature from another series that I can immediately see in the design; I am sending them back to the drawing board to do it again. We have all these monster catching/ befriending games on the market right now. I play Digimon, Pokemon, Bakugan, Monster Hunter Stories, Shin Megami Tensei and Dragon Quest...similar games. True they are all copies of the original Shin Megami but I still feel each have original designs and feel different when you play each one. Like I don't look at Green Dragon from Dragon Quest and go that's a green Pokemon reskin or hey Rathalos is a Digimon like Monster. Funny examples I know but I don't feel that way when I look at Palworld. I see a game that should have been marketed as a Pokemon parody because I like the concept without the guns of course but the Dev claims is not a parody then uses such similar or "traced" elements of other franchises. Lockstin out a very nice video out not to long ago that did a good job separating the pals into Original designs all the way to blatant ripoffs. When I saw the list and heard his origin of each pal I felt he was on to something. Over half their designs even though weren't straight rip offs still pulled elements from other franchises only a good twenty or so could be considered purely original; or a twist on an old concept already made. It's an iffy line I know and I still believe people should play what they want and don't care what others think but at the same time we can't reward people who skim the lines because they can. That's the only thing that bites at my morals a bit hard. I understand your point as well the fusion ones do bother me because to me you could have made it so much more original, Pokemon fusion has been a thing for a long time in fanart. You drawing a creature that looked like Greavard long before it was released is cool. I wouldn't say Pokemon copied you or anything like that because if I got the drawing prompt ghost dog that laments...I would have probably added tombstones or matted fur like houndstone but now that he's a Pokemon. I would look for inspiration elsewhere. Do a different breed of dog...but since I play Digimon and Dobermon is a thing. I would have to again look elsewhere for inspiration. That's what I feel would be right. There are millions of animals out there we haven't even scratched the surface of creatures to pull inspiration from so "tracing" seems like a half-baked way to get a project out fast. I can't speak for the devs heart but I just don't feel like he truly put his whole heart into his creation...maybe he did I don't know. But one thing I do hope it does is open Nintendo and GameFreak's eyes that you can go a little wild and your fans might appreciate it more than they realize. Legends Arceus was almost there with the Pokemon attacking you and dodging to find an opening. I loved that game it had crafting, it had a little survival but they needed to push a little harder for replayability...I would love for my Pokemon to help me built a base, to send Pokemon out on mining or foresting missions. To see my Lucario use his aura to help me find lost persons on the map or my Gardevoir to nurse my hurt Pokemon back to health with Life Dew. To actually take a stick or go fisticuff with a Riolu to earn it's respect and become my partner because Pokeballs haven't been invented yet. Come on how cool would it be to learn sword fighting from your Gallade then later using what you learned to go toe to toe with a Garchomp near end game to earn it's respect and have it join your base as a miner or flying mount. Come on Pokemon you see your fans loving this capitalize on it and do it right. Stakes can be high in a Pokemon game, Digimon has shown it works....so has Dragon Quest. Sorry again for the long post friend.

Jolthog is literally a hedgehog, it has nothing to do with shaymin thats just how hedgehogs look when you make em a cute little monster. Just search "cartoon hedgehog" and you understand that this has nothing to do with Shaymin or pokemon. The same with Chillet, you really wanna tell me that a dragon with a ferret body type is the same as furret? Are you kidding me? I really liked Lockstin but he lost me as a viewer with this video, he seems so salty about Palworld. I understand the Liligant Flower one but Dinossom is still its own design. Like i said, if you have to attach 3 but to a design it is its own thing "Goodra, but green, but with Liligant flower on top". Also designs dont have to be completyl original all the time, why else do you think so much art exists around mytholocial creatures? Because people like them and put their own design on that thematic. Why is creating a fox pyromancer "not cool" in a monster catcher game? Just because pokemon has that? Does this mean no one is allowed to make a firebreathing lizard because pokemon already did it? Foxes are often associated with fire. If Pokemon did like a fox that has little cows orbiting around it and then Palworld copies that i would maybe agree with you but a fire wielding fox is nothing out of the ordinary. In the end i want to say that any monster design based on animals, mythological creatures, or real items should be out of question. If you want to make a creature based on a hedgehog it shouldnt be called a shaymin clone. Like wtf. As long as it doesnt copy design aspects 1 to 1 there is nothing wrong with using stuff as the basis for you designs.

@@cs7230 True I do wish he had been a little less bias and let those slide. An elemental hedgehog is always going to look like another is common sense and easy. Like Jomantide I don't consider him a Gyrados clone he's a cartoony version of the World Serpent and Gyrados is a koi fish that climbed a waterfall and became a dragon, A myth from Japan. So you should never claim a copy just by shape and color. I loved it and would have put it in original but based on something already done but it's really good. Because I do get upset when people say Gyrados ripoff ...yeah it's a sea serpent with fins oh God it's copying Seadramon to... wrong. No one own sea serpents people need to stop reaching I will admit that. Like a thunderbird oh God Zapdos is the only one...nope Digimon has one to but it's overall concept is different. You can only do so much to a creature to make it fit with an element. You want a water sea serpent do snake shape make it blue add a few fins bam you done. It's a universal thought and I bet me and you could put a picture comparison of mythological and elemental animals and creatures and its bound to be a few let's call them "universal clones" elemental creatures made based on easily distinctive features that tell the viewer what it is similar to and what element it's associated with on first sight. Yeah he should have let those slide. I will admit I might be a bit bias true but if I look at a game and my mind is immediately drawn to something else it loses me. Palworld shouldn't be taken down true but it's creatures real feel like a throw into make fun of Pokemon. They seem so out of place in the world he created and maybe that also turns me off...two very different art style shoved into one game can be jarring. I will still watch my favorite KZbinrs play it and make funny jokes like calling the pal by the similar Pokemon because I would be doing the same thing if I was playing. Like I said I don't hate PalWorld or those who play it in anyway their is room for both because if anything I hope this huge explosion helps open GameFreak's eyes that you can drastically change the formula and we will play it, we want something similar from you. You got all the parts you need...just take your time and do it. So friend I hope you keep going around and talking about Palworld and helping to ease the bias of other Pokemon or creature catching fans out there because you helped me. Sure I might never get around to playing Palworld myself but I will continue to try and spread non-bias comments and opinions around to hopefully ease some of the war cries of bias that surround these games. Thanks for helping me get my thoughts and rants together...you helped me see maybe I wasn't giving PalWorld it's fair shake, their is room for both in the gaming world.

Why are you being so aggressive, of course he says he's not promoting the game. He knows the legal fight behind this game. He's a Pokemon promoter the Pokemon Company sends him things. He tells people to not pay for the game because it's free...why would you think for a minute he would tell someone to pay for a game that has less then half it's creatures are truly original. I watch people play it but I don't think I will ever pick it up. If more creatures were purely original and not copies of other things it would be worth it, but until the dev makes more original creatures I will give it a hard pass. ​​​​@@tinaseaborn5266if you took time to inform yourself you'd know there are at most about 20 pals you could say actually resemble pokemon, the game is a parody and with it's selling point being "pokemon with guns" so ofc there are gonne be similar creatures to pokemon, infact the creators aren't even denying it, they quite literally say they don't care about being original. What irritates me is when he compares every pal to a pokemon when they don't even resemble them and when he can't think of a direct comparisons he makes the BIGGEST reaches Edit: also there's no legal battle, at most there is an investigation but thats all we know and there have been zero cases made

@@TheEchoShark I heard the dev doesn't consider it a parody so that might be a problem on his end...and yes I know more than 20 pals could be considered Pokemon ripoff so that's one reason I won't pick this up. If the dev was smart he would remove every asset that could be mistaken for "stolen" but he won't so I will not be playing it. Y'all do you but this game will be avoided by me, there are plenty of other creature capture games out there take don't make my moral compass go out of sync. Parody or not the dev should have told his artist "if your creatures look "traced" from Pokemon we aren't going to use them, then all this anger between Palworld fans and Pokemon fans could have been avoided but i will leave it to the legal teams and go play Digimon Cyber Sleuth, Dragon Quest Monster The Dark Prince and of course Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. So thank you Palworld but no thank you.
