Jackall Product Manager here... Great video. Not many people realize fishing it underwater like a jerkbait was another way it was supposed to be fished. It's why we designed it to sink. The main technique is topwater, but the secondary technique was just like you explained. In the original Japan promo video, there's footage of it fished this very way. Great explanation to the technique!

I have a Jackal Riser but haven’t used it with that technique. I fished it topwater and caught a few. I will try that technique. I bought some Krej too, threw them a few times to get the feel, but haven’t really given them a fair try.

I found the 009 Jackall Riser with the spitting mouth; looks cool skittering across the surface; haven't caught anything on it. Cool lure find.

They are similar but completely different baits. I havent had any sucess with either. I definitely like the price and weight of the krej much more than the riser. The riser is really hard to get distance as it is so light and the krej you can cast as far as any jerkbait.

#100percentwatchsquad I really like the Berkley Stunna jerkbait, mainly because of the slow sink rate so I can use them in a bit deeper water. I haven't tried the Krej yet, but I know I will at some point. I haven't tried the Riser yet either and since I really like new and inventive ways to fish a jerkbait, you know I'm gonna snag me a few of them!

It sucks ever since Ike’s trip over Japan 3-4 yrs ago ever since they have been coming out with these rip off baits.. The gilly,agent e,kerj,the swimbait they just came out with they can do it it cuz there is no patent in Japan so companies can rip them off witch kinda sucks cuz most jdm companies are small so it hurts them only plus side is we get them cheaper than paying the jdm market
