I Hate Shopping Gaisano Mall Iligan City Mindanao Philippines

Here we have me doing the thing i hate most since i have been in the Philippines, and that's my weekend trip to the supermarket in the Gaisano Mall.. it's not the mall i hate, as it's quite a good mall, it's just the supermarket, and how long it takes to be seen at the checkout.. Don't be fooled by me joking around and my smiley face, because if i was wired up to a blood pressure monitor it would probably explode lol.. Tilly on the other hand dances down each isle having fun, and even helpng to stack the shelves, but then she turns whatever she does into fun.. Ha ha, yeah not a fan of going to the dentist either (smile) Yeah my home in England is in Devon, and we actually have a large military presence close to where i live, mainly the Royal Marines, but we used to also have a large Army camp in the village i live in, plus an RAF base, so yeah lots of military in my area.. Yeah the supermarket does stock a lot of produce, and the actual shopping mall is a really good one, it's just this supermarket i don't like, but then i am not a fan of any supermarkets lol.. Hi Naomi, yeah i would also say the Gaisano mall was a little cheaper than the other malls, my favourite mall around here is the Robinson Mall, but yeah they are a bit more expensive and it's a bit further to travel.. Hiya Bruce, i love onion and Garlic in my meals, not always the best combination though for ones love life if you are out on the pull lol.. Yeah the checkouts are the real problem with me, and how long it takes to get seen, especially in this supermarket, i always joke about how i go in clean shaven and come out with a beard (Smile) it would help if the checkout girls said something like "Sorry for keeping you waiting" but they never do, they always look so miserable and gives one that suicidal feeling ha ha, but in all fairness to them, i think i would feel miserable if i worked in there all day.. I complain Derek when people try and queue jump, and i have sorted quite a few of them out over the last 7 years here, you ask Yvonne, and i normally get loads of support from the other people queueing lol, i won't put up with none of that mate.. Yeah it is the checkout that's so slow and stressful, i always joke and say things like "I came in clean shaven, but will be leaving with a beard by the time i get seen" The longest i have queued in this supermarket was over an hour, but it's normally about 30 minutes on a good day.. Oh yeah Rich, i think i have opened a whole new can of worms as they say talking about how stressful shopping can be.. Back in the UK i do a lot of my shopping online, it's totally stress free doing it online.. Yeah watching the demonstrators can be fun sometimes, i was talking to one of them one day who was selling floor mops, and i said to him that the tile he kept cleaning must be the cleanest tile around as he is cleaning the same one all day lol.. It's a bit of both really, i hate how slow they are at the checkout, and one time i was standing there for over an hour, and that's totally unacceptable i think, and yeah i am not a fan of being in large crowds, i come from a very quiet rural area in North Devon England, so really don't like how crowded it is here.. Hey i know what you mean about always getting on the slowest queue, i always seem to pick the one who's till breaks down, but when they are still using Windows 98 i am not surprised they are always breaking down lol.. Time consuming it sure is.. I will tell ya how bad it's got for me, the other week while waiting for over 30 minutes in a queue, i was trying to work out just how many hours i have spent standing in queues in the Philippines during the last seven years, taking into account this supermarket, ATM machines, fast food places etc, and it was about 2 hours a week, which calculates at 30.3 days approx since i have been here, i think it's probably more than that actually, but talk about feeling suicidal afterwards lol.. Yeah i guess there is lots of choice here, but we also have that big Robinson mall too, which is a lot better than this one, but it's more expensive there, and it's a bit further to travel.. Well here you have found my real Achilles heel lol, i hate doing grocery shopping, and hate it even more in this supermarket.. I find this place the most depressing place i have ever visited in my life, but until recently there was not much choice in where we shopped, but there is now, so i try not to come here as often as i used to.. This mall is OK, it's just the supermarket i don't like.. The cashiers are so slow, never apologise for keeping the customer waiting, are miserable, and rarely smile, but in their defence if i worked here i don't think i would feel like smiling ha ha..
