@jogymogy3691 Jake Zyrus is Philippino and the album that it appears on Infinfity has songwriting credits by Jojo,Nick Jonas,Jason Derulo,Bruno Mars,Cathy Dennis,Natasha Bedingfield and Kara DioGuardi. Despite the album all in English with western songwriting and production racist people such as yourself thinking that all Asian music is the same is the reason why it wasn't relased outside Asia. I actually hate how the ending was just one giant middle finger to all your hard work. It's such a trollish move even Caius in the 100% completion ending is like "thanks for playing our game, but uh... there is no happy ending for you, you've effectively wasted your time. See ya in lightning returns, suckers!

@@jogymogy3691 It was supposed to be contrasting, and when you listen to the lyrics : "I'm going to the new world with nothing but the things you gave me." You can see that in the moment of Triumph and sacrifice, Serah died free and satisfied. But you also need to remember? When the chaos comes out, the music stops.

I love 13-2 so much, bought it for £8 and bought all the dlc after finishing it and played it a ton, i like serah and caius is a great villain just wish it was remastered as a remastered collection especially when i never finished lightning returns so would love to play it all again. 13-2 is probably in my top 5 ff games.

This was actually my first final fantasy game and I loved it when I was a kid! I even bought the big ol guide book that I never used (and still have in pieces to this day). I did watch a walkthrough of the first ff13 game later.

Yeah, XIII-2 is good and it speaks mostly to the pedigree of tri-ace more than anything. Tri-ace are part of the original team that made the Tales series and then split and made their own version of them, the Star Ocean titles. Play Star Ocean 6, since you like modern Tales, you'll find lots in common with that as well. You'll see the similarities with XIII-2 various character interactions as well compared to XIII. As for chemistry between Serah and Noel, probably helps that Noel is a bit like previous Star Ocean main characters and Serah is slightly re-written compared to the utter stiffness of Snow and Serah from XIII. It's probably why the beginning and ending of the game seem like they come out of nowhere, the skeleton of the story was probably conceived first and then the devs were asked to fill in the story with mostly character interactions because there was nothing beyond "save Lightning" so Noel and Serah was so fleshed out they got natural chemistry after a while. This kind of story structure is probably also why it is so self-contained and works so well on its own, without prior knowledge. Also the unconfirmed rumours about the game yanking tri-ace in the middle of making either a new Star Ocean or Valkyrie Profile at the time and cancelling it so tri-ace just used some already made concepts and beats to finish the game earlier per publisher mandate, which is why Noel and Serah are suddenly above the pedigree of what we saw in previous titles and then Lightning Returns.

@@ShadohFyre They have a bevy of games to choose from, even having a Monster Hunter turn based RPG game before Monster Hunter even existed, on the PSP. It was called Frontier Gate and it has an english patch last I checked since it was never released in the west. The closest thing I can say it plays similar to is a mix of White Knight Chronicles and Final Fantasy XIII, of which FFXIII's gameplay took inspiration from after they hit a snag for years in development.

I played through this game with my friend bc she didnt have a ps3 and we both BAWLED when Sarah died ❤ but like we loved the ending. More games that are going to have sequels should have endings where you lose

I loved FF13-2 so damn much. The music is the best part alongside the villain Caius. This game definitely needs an HD remaster soon. A simple mod for the PC version just ain't it.

If memory serves, if you purposely make yourself fight the bigger battles when you have let the gauge fill before a battle. You will be able to get a lot more Gil from each fight. So when you have levelled up, you can be in easier places to farm Gil a bit. Then you move forward, then rinse and repeat. Though as said, this is just from memory, so it can be 100% wrong.

I just finished the 13 trilogy yesterday and loved the whole thing. I expected to hate it due to the bad reviews and was pleasantly surprised to find that I loved each game in their own way. I've played almost every FF game out there and somehow this skyrocketed to my top 2 (i just consider the trilogy one game since I beat them in order in 2 months... it was a fun 2 months) Glad I'm not the only one who enjoyed 13-2 but man, am I the only one who enjoyed all 3? Haha.

The reason I like and respect this game more than 13 is the same reason I like and respect 10-2 more than 10. All of these games are pretty dumb. The storytelling is a mess and the writing is a joke. Most of the characters are quite dumb, too. It's a breath of fresh air when these games can actually tell that that's the case and don't bother take themselves seriously, instead focusing on the visuals, the music and the fun. I'd rather replay 10-2 and 13-2 a hundred times than touch 10 or 13 again in my life.
