I think hate is a strong word, the Recaro seats have never been powered in any generation Mustang that I can recall. It is also common knowledge that you never open or close a hood or trunk lid from the corners, always do it from the center to avoid any paint issues. If the front wheels stuck out further you would have a much greater chance of rock chips along the body. Think back to the GT350R it didn't even have a infotainment system, this car is all about performance. 670 whp in stock form, with a few simple mods it can easily reach 900 whp and do it without breaking a sweat. It would be hard to get that type of performance out of any other car on the market for the money, every car has body fitment and or paint issues. With the push for EV this car will be the last of it's kind and an end of an Era, enjoy it for what it is not many people can even afford 1 performance car let alone 3.

Thanks for watching and sharing the perspective.... I am a big fan and I love this car....however like everyhting, no machine is perfect and the video was an effort to share what I experienced... I still don't support a fully manual recaros but I get why it is -- what it is! I can now see the tucked front wheels correlation with rock chips, that's a good point...personally I wouldn't have mind as this whole car has PPF but I can see why it is preventive for other people. In regards to boot, having a basic understanding of shutting it from centre doesn't solve the problem that it has no latch or indent to grip-shut it.... Totally agreed on sheer performance prowess of the car.. Thanks again.

You didn’t know or think of these complaints before buying it lol 🤦🏻♂️. It’s a race car and meant to be raced on a track. It’s meant to be stripped down with not a lot of extras. If it’s not needed for a race, it doesn’t need to be in the car! Even the seats, leather is nice, but cloth weighs less also. It’s a nice car, enjoy it rather than complain about it lol 😂

I get where you're coming from but these cars are not designed to be luxury etc. Power seats add weight, better front wheel offset would look good but will take away from what the car is designed for. These cars are designed and engineered to be track monsters and that's exactly what they are - people say "Yeah but it's a $100k car with no luxury" well the money is in the powertrain, not the interior. I'm a Ford 'fanboy' and I'm not ashamed to say so! Ford fit and finish will never be great, I've had over 25 Ford cars/trucks and they have all had fit and finish issues and they always will. Not a problem for me, I think it adds to the character and it's expected on my end at least. I will say the dash rattle was driving me nuts too, here's a possible fix - In the glove box there's a drop down compartment for the owners manuals, pull that yellow tab and make sure the owners manuals are in there at all times, that fixed it for me.

@Bigjhnsn882 жыл бұрын
I have the same car and color in the base model. The build quality is terrible. I had a 13 gt500 and it was almost perfect. My ford dealer's opinion was that all of them were like that. I spent weeks adjusting everything so that it was barely acceptable. I bought Signature aftermarket wheels and lost 12lbs of weight off each wheel and Terrence representing that company knew how to do the offsets so that my wheel appearance is much improved. I also had my springs resized so that the front and rear wheel gap is the same. I had problems with my active exhaust and it took ford months to fix it finally and it was not the dealers fault. As for the seats I do wish they were electrically adjustable but I have it set for me and I only need to move it forward and back and I easily live with that. I do absolutely love the car though. Mustangs seem to be meant to be worked on and made to suit their owners and that is a reason that I like them.

Its a mustang and the GT500 is a carryover of old road racing days. It was never meant to be a high end luxury car. And most of your complaints would be apparent before ever buying the car.

Agreed...honestly I wouldn't change it and even in the hindsight, buy it again due to the performance it brings! Thanks for watching.
@shadspov2 жыл бұрын
the reason the recaros don't have power or heat/cool is because the CFTP is meant to be a track car for the most part, that's why it has no rear seat...all about weight saving. I was actually surprised that they didn't have the radio delete like they did on the gt350r...it's more about weight saving over cost cutting...power could definitely have been an option but in their minds, most people are tracking these cars to solve your trunk opening issue, steeda makes a trunk pop kit for these cars so when you hit the trunk button, it opens all the way on its own love the content so far...subbed we'll hav e to get together when I move out to Texas

It's a 305 up front and 315 in rear and that's why the front is tucked. Put a wider tire up front and BAM!
@GrabberBlue5.22 жыл бұрын
no that wont change the tuck issue on the fronts. the fronts of the CFTP are 11" ET32. putting a 10mm wider tire doesnt change that. if you notice aftermarket wheels for the gt500, they are almost always going with ET10 - ET16 and this will cause the car to be more aggressive and "poke". it has to do with offsets. wider tire isnt the answer at all.

Getting the carbon fiber package is a stupid move. People buy these cars and suddenly think they’re race car drivers and experts. Just because it says, “Track Package” doesn’t mean it’s a race car. The Race Seats are exactly that. They’re not comfy or good.. Just a fancy name for the guys who wear racing gloves when they drive GT500’s. You bought this car and sat in it… Now you don’t like the seat options? That’s on you man. Also, they’re $75k and $85k cars, the dealers mark them way up. With all the cosmetic stuff you “hate” why did you buy it??? You went with it. Was this a used car? Looks like it’s been messed with by someone who has no clue or business messing with this car. Taking this GT500 to the track isn’t a good move. It’s going to cause problems, regardless of the car. Its not a race car, even though it can be taken to the track. Wrong car for constant track use. Throwing carbon fiber on a GT500 doesn’t make it a legit race car. Should have went with the base model, not the “fake track” car. All your complaints are from track use and abuse. Carbon fiber hoods are garbage.. They’re not going to hold up at constant high speeds on a track, etc. That’s why a lot of professionals who do buy these for the track replace the carbon fiber hoods.
@HotRodsDFW2 жыл бұрын
You defintely haven't driven the CFTP - and I don't blame you as dealers don't offer test drives on these! I owned the base car and sold it in 2 momths to get the track pack and there is super noticeable difference between the handling dynamics and performance it pulls - there is a lot to love in this car - just like nothing in life is perfect, the video was to talk about some of those imperfections - it still is one of the best handling cars in under 200k. Talking with a lot of experience! Thank you for watching and sharing your views.
@xevious25012 жыл бұрын
only dumb people come up with such complaints. they have no idea what they are buying, nor do they truly understand what certain vehicles are, what they are achieving in a real world situation. The GT500 is basically a homogenate race car. It actually has more power than most race cars but unlike actual race cars its stuffed with road car components which brings on weight and many other complexities. more over, the GT500 is starting off life as a common mustang, designed to serve tasks far short of that of a a race car. but its been beefed up to such a degree that it can compete with vehicles far beyond its price range. and that point is very important, because its the very core of what makes it what it is good and bad. A mustang is one of the worlds top selling cars. Its never gone out of production which few marques can attest to. And yet its a car with many flaws. but what people fail to realize is how it all relates to its success and its longevity. The flaws of the mustang is what gives the car its character. while other companies strive for engineering perfection, they inevitably strip their vehicles of character. they become sterile, lacking mood and emotion, ultimately great performance and quality but lacking a soul. while mustangs have flaws, but as such are obtainable price wise, alowing the owner to elevate them via aftermarket products. its a great starting point onto something far better, which is the business of Shelby and Saleen and Roush and Steeda , all companies that understand the potential of the humble Mustang. And the Lastest Ford Shelby factory efforts decided to take it to the next level themselves. But your also dealing with a mass produced vehicle so their will be compromises. when all is said and done. A mustang is never ment to be perfect but you will find few vehicles that you will reflect own owning when they are no longer in your possession.

I think the wheels are tucked in because that's the "cobra feature" you know like a cobra snake only expands the hood on its back when it's threatened and ready to strike, so in the same way this car has the snake emblem so the tires only pop out to a wide stance when you start cornering at high speeds or you can do this manually in your track mode settings under wheel stance. I'm just kidding I made that up🤣😂👍🏿 it's sounds good though, and any car makers who all of a sudden come out with this new option I'm suing you for idea theft💯 you heard it from me first😁
