When my 10 year old sister and her friends started singing Tik Tok songs with very inappropriate lyrics I started to hate the app. My sister doesn't even have the app but her friends do, and so she is still exposed to the inappropriate content on there. I once downloaded the app to see for myself the type of content on there, and the amount of 14, 15, 16 year old girls showing off their bodies and talking about doing sexual acts made me feel weird and annoyed about all the little kids that are gonna see it. Don't even get me started on all the cringe dances they do 24/7 even when they aren't even recording.

Story time- Me and one of my bestest friends were born two days apart from each other (im the 2 day older one haha) and we and his 1 year younger brother were the bestest friends we could be. Our moms amd dads were very very good friends before we were born, so that bonded us closer even more. Over the years, whenever we got together (we lived about 2 hours away from each other so it was a big deal), we would have a blast. Play video games, play with skylanders and action figures, have nerf wars, play with legos, watch some funny yt videos, and really just did what ever made us have fun. So now, ever since tik tok got popular, lets say 2020, every time we all meet up somewhere, its luke we dont exist in each others worlds... His 1 year younger brother is never there, always at a different friends house doing whatever crap, and the one my age is... You guessed it, on tik tok. THE. ENTIRE. TIME. He just cant get off it. I dont have tik tok (thank god) so we barely talked. Its heartbreaking what we were in our childhoods, and what its come to now...💔 Tik tok is destroying society and much be stopped! 😡

this is why in some ways I'm thankful that vine was abolished soon after it started. like we all know that one vine video and most vine videos have become a mainstay in internet history. when Tik tok was just new it was kinda like vine with cringe here and there, but mostly harmless, 3 years later (2021), it has become a platform where kids try to get internet brownie points by doing stunts that affects them in horrible ways. I know that not all of tik tok is like this, but if it keeps going down this road; it might become as toxic as Twitter and more children will hurt themselves

I never had tik tok before (still don’t) so when I went to my friend’s house, she wanted to show me tik tok’s from people in our classes. Every. Single. Person I thought I knew had either an inappropriate username, wore barely any clothing, or was doing....questionable stuff that would get them expelled had they done it in school. It’s even creepier when a classmate I know is wearing overly sexual clothes and some random guy comments saying “Wanna work for a modeling agency??”. Disgusting....

2:08 that’s actually true one of my friends uploaded and watched TikTok a lot but later on he stop focusing on one thing and when I hang out with him and study with him he loses focus on one thing and is tempted to take out his phone but later his parents encouraged him to delete some of his social media including TikTok and it made a big difference, he was focusing on one thing and later he deleted the app permanently.

There's a Tik Tok knockoff popular here in Brazil called Kwai, and it gives you money. Literaly, you get 12 Reais, id say like 6 or 8 bucks from downloading it, and its main thing according to its description is "minas dançando", or for those non educated in HueHueBr it means "dancing girls/gals".
