I had TikTok for 4-6 months in 2020 and it ruined my mental health. In an already difficult time it kept shoving negative content in my face of people talking about their depression, joking about suicide, etc. I’m super sensitive to people’s emotions so it definitely made my depression worse. KZbin is guilty of this too, but I can watch 2-3 videos and it resets my KZbin home page away from that stuff.

@@tektauroncan’t speak for his experience but from what I’ve seen, there is a looooottttt of man-hating content/creators on tiktok. There is also a loooootttt of single women from all ages giving tips/comments to other women that are single or taken doesn’t matter and they can easily influence these women train of thought. I’ve seen so many women on there calling men toxic/controlling for giving their opinion on how their girlfriend dresses, with who she goes out with or their physical health that they let go etc… it’s rough

My problem with short form content is that 10 seconds is too short to inform someone accurately so people can easily be misled and influenced in bad ways without any time for facts to be mentioned and sources to be cited.
