First of all, props for uploading videos were you know you don't shine emotionally. I might have suggested it before but I'll gladly do it again. Letting go by David R Hawkins is a level up on how to deal with feelings and emotions for people who want to grow. The opponent basically was attacking your clock and succeeded. He seemed to make a couple mistakes doing so. Perhaps if you can keep your cool during these times you can punish this strategy. I usually feel the need to up my pace when my opponent is fast. That way I blunder much more..

I'm curious why you're bothered when someone plays fast? I get being annoyed when they taunt you in chat and so on, but why does them playing quickly bother you in the slightest?

Probably bc the opponent is using an engine or program to cheat. Opponent isn't having to take massive amounts of time to think bc the computer is doing it for him. I get that a lot, and then my opponents accuracy is in the 95% or higher range. They'll occasionally throw in human moves. This is just my personal experience. When my opponents take time, they're usually thinking and playing fairly. When they're moving fast it's bc they're not the ones thinking.

How can you be certain that when your opponent moves fast they are using an engine?

People who stick to the same opening structures and play at that rating level will have plenty of lines memorized to blitz out 10-15 moves rather consistently. Some people just enjoy committing their time to a lot of prep - I am one of those nerds myself. When people keep blitzing out moves in the late middle game and endgame, then they are either using the opponent's time efficiently or they may cheat. Though before move ~15 it may very well just be prep, or they are in opening structures where many moves are possible and they just go for one of them.

It annoys the crap out of me also, but as you say it's our burden. You just have to tip your hat that they can play so accurately at that tempo. Frustrating though! Thanks for sharing as always.

@@rodneyfungus8249 Especially since virtually every fast move in this contained a direct material threat, and many of them were poor moves according to the engine. That's how virtually every 1800+ OTB ELO player plays too. Playing that way is the way to unerve most Caro-Slav-London players as they want to avoid tactics, and therefore are often poor at recognizing them.

good stuff until the negativity, I understand your reaction but isn't he just using your time instead. Cheers

Objectively, you played a quite good game. The last blunder was also because of time pressure. It also gets to me when opponents play fast and seemingly strong. It's an area we both need to improve, its normal.

Opponents often play fast; a] to use up YOUR TIME, and b] to annoy you!! Tactics of the game!!!

It's incredible how tilted you get by your opponent playing fast. You can't do anything about it, so quit wasting energy and focus!

What was your plan if your opponent had played 21. g4 instead of Nc5?

You care to much about things you can`t control. That keeps you off track for the things that really matter and you CAN control. I`m not writing this to berate you, I really like your channel and I`ve following your journey since it began, hope you improve that!

You are a poor chess player who instead of admitting the fact that they didn't play well and their opponents have outplayed them, they just want to be told they are just unlucky, their opponent was playing instantly, they were hungry, their brother waiting for them 😂😂😂😂😂

He's hardly a poor chess player, and the fact that you don't recognize that tells us that you are. He does make excuses, but who doesn't to cope with adversity. As long as he ultimately adresses the reasons he loses, he will improve. Regardless of what he says that bothers you.
