For some reason, as a young white suburb kid born in 1982, I watched a pretty good amount of hood movies in the 90's. Boyz N The Hood was always my favorite, but I watched this one more times than I can count! Tupac is so damn good in this movie and I love Omar Epps!

So it would be silly to assume you have seen Menace To Society, Jasons Lyric? Think that Boyz is the one that hurt alot but theres another good one with L JACKSON called 187.

Man I remember I saw juice like 4 yrs ago as I just started my Tupac journey. My God. What a performance not only by him but everyone. Juice is my fav hood film

Ernest Dickerson was the director....he was Spike Lee's cinematographer in all his early films

Now , I never knew this! So he must have been part of Do The Right Thing and Jungle Fever. Two of my faves. Think that Do The Right, its one of the most devastating films ever with an early Jackson too. LOVED ! I MEAN LOVEDDD The italian dad who recently passed away, such a great actor.

We came from such a good era of movies, and especially the music. Good to see someone else in the know 💪🏽 I assume youve seen Above The Rim? One of the best soundtracks and another good Tupac film.

I hated 2Pac for years because of this movie. also Steel is Sams from the Movie "Lean On Me" and Raheem was from the tv series "Girlfriends"
