What's the point of hating? I never understood that. All it does is make you feel worse as a result. People don't like you, and you get no friends out of being hateful. Being angry is a natural emotion to feel, and it's necessary sometimes to get your point across, especially if it's a righteous cause, but if anger is your default state that has to be depressing. Don't find stuff to hate, find stuff to like about things, that's what I want to tell those people.

Expressing hate and negativity is cathartic for people who are frustrated with life and it boosts self-esteem, which compensates for the drawbacks. At least on a superficial level.
