Hi Shawn, Johnny from Milano Italy. I'm dealing with some mice in my garage, they come to sleep in my engine (literally; they enter the trunk from below and climb up to the oil cap and build lairs!). I'm trying some traps, classic spring traps, electric ones, venomous bites etc. I discovered that broth cubes are unbelievable baits! They smell like nothing else!

If the trap is checked regularly, as it should be, then there are no dead mice to create a smell.
@trevhib3 жыл бұрын
@@Stratos53100 These cones come in all sizes and designs. The most popular one in the UK is 21" tall, this trap is 18", hardly way too short. In any case, seeing a wet floor cone design you haven't seen before is not going to lead anyone to suddenly think, 'oh that cone's a bit shorter than I'm used to seeing, therefore it must be a mousetrap in disguise', is it.
@trevhib3 жыл бұрын
@ForestofTooMuchFood It doesn't matter whether it's the live trap or the stick and starve that's being used, if the traps are checked every day and the results managed accordingly, it isn't going to get to the point of smelling such that it causes problems. Also, the cone might not be up to the CCP code but what percentage of people looking on know which product meets regulations and which doesn't. But even for those who do, which of those are going to somehow draw the conclusion that it's a mousetrap. Lol.

The injection molding tool for such a cone is approximately 50,000 US$ plus a 100k injection molding machine. The tools has usually a lifetime of 250k parts, the machine wears off alike (you have to replace pretty expensive parts). The plastic is approximately 2$ per cone, but you also have to pay for the operator, the building, electricity, packaging, advertising, taxes, and so on.

Whatever is left over is profit and there has to be profit. Unfortunately, people like to ignore all the various expenses and conclude that business make HUGE profits. In fact, it's more likely that they make slim profits, if at all. Walmart makes about 2.5% profit. Dollar Tree makes less than 5%. Most drug companies make less than 10%. Hardly ripping people off. They have plenty of mouse and rat traps in every single kitchen in every single city. They are usually under work counters and they contain poisons they are changed usually monthly. It's not uncommon to see the company's that operate these traps replacing the poisons during the day. Also the signs themselves are considered a trip hazard there are certain procedures and rules regarding how to use them. In the uk we could never use this sighn as a mouse trap.
