Jim was a legend. I was fortunate enough to take private lessons with him while I was at Northeastern University. The next year I transferred to Berklee. I took several more classes with him while there including arranging amongst other playing classes. He is missed. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, Charles for honored the greatest bass teacher, and in my opinion the greatest bassist, to play the instrument . . . MY big brother, Jim Stinnett. Your videos are an inspiration to me and about a zillion others at this point. God bless you, Charles. Keep on rockin’ it, my man! 😃🎸

Just bought the course today and took a peak.. WOW!! First I was a little disappointed that the videos seemed so short, but after watching one of them I realized how much information is packed into it. It's amazing! The content of a 10 minute video can easily take weeks and months for me to master and perfect. It's really incredible what you have done. I studied bass at the Royal Academy of Music in Denmark many years ago, and I used to play a lot, but haven't really played much the past 10 years. This course will get me back into bass! I can feel it.. Thanks a lot Charles!

Hey dude. I just want to let you know that ive been a single guitarist for over 20 years now on and off to relief. And love outer spa that sold it. But you make me want to get a bass and master your techniques. You are amazing!!!

As a gen x guitar player of 35 years, I've never been more interested in watching a bass player than you. I grew up with Vai and Satch and YJM and have spent countless hours watching footage of every shredder on the interwebs but NOBODY gets my attention quite like you do Charles. You've made me a fan of music I never liked before. You've set the bar so high, it's going to be a while before you get dethroned, if ever. Simply the greatest instrumental bassist on the planet...

It takes a special person to be both a great musician and a great teacher. They are completely different skill sets and usually a person excels at one or the other. You’ve defied the odds and are doing a wonderful job at breaking down your knowledge and teaching and inspiring other players. Thank you, Charles!

Congratulations on your bass course. Years ago I saw Charles appear in a bass guitar solo competition in New Hampshire, USA called Bass Solo Fun. There were about 40 bassists of all styles who prepared their own solos. Charles played he LeFay bass and was clearly the winner of the competition. He was a Berklee student back then. Great work, Charles!

okay, you got me. I've wanted to learn bass for quite a while. I bit the bullet and bought a Ibanez SR500e. I think it looks great, and it was $200 off because it was missing a knob, so I ordered replacement knobs for $12... I have no idea where to start but wanted to try out rocksmith, so I ordered the cable for that as well. My plan is to play like an hour a day for a month and see where I'm at. if I'm enjoying it, great, and if not, I can return the bass (45 day return policy). I also plan on signing up for your classes but wasn't sure if they are intended for people who actually know how to play, or if you offer something extremely entry level. Thank you for being the inspiration for this endeavor.
