It turns out that I'm really, really good at developing cancer. I have other marketable skills, but they don't keep a stage 4 cancer vlog going like this one, so my body decided to lean into it apparently.
All kidding aside, this sucks, and I'm going to need a lot of help and support to get through this for a third time. In this vlog, I describe how I'm feeling, what the diagnosis, prognosis, and potential treatment options are, and ramble on about what life is like as a young adult who is now living with seemingly chronic cancer.
I really appreciate you continuing to follow along, and this vlog is huge for my mental health as well as connecting with other cancer patients and their loved ones.
I wish I was doing it under different circumstances, but alas.
Talk to ya'll soon.
Byyyyeeeee!

You are not alone. We are all fellow travelers in this short journey of life, most of us just race through our lives forgetting how we are all mortal. Don't stop the fight. Cancer is not about long life, it's about having a good life! Best wishes 🙏❤

Mike, The notification for this popped up while i was making dinner and knew i needed to have a minute of privacy to watch this. I don't know what to say...there is nothing that i can say that you didn't. This absolutely sucks and i am just so sad for you...but as many others said...you got this and we got you. It seems like it was caught early and treatment is very effective if i understand what you are saying. You will kick this cancer's ass again. You look and sound awesome! Please keep us posted as you are able. Sending you the best wishes and a big hug. You will definitely be on my mind. Take care!

Sorry to hear Mike. Long, long story but my wife had advanced stage 4 breast. Spread everywhere even to brain. We combined a checkpoint inhibitor, fasting, high dose melatonin, whole plant based diet and attention to gut health and she has been NED for about 6 months now. Even 2 Signatera tests have been negative. Oncologist is amazed as are we. One thing to relate to you is that having proper gut microbiota (a certain type of bacteria) has been shown to allow immune therapy (ICI's) to work much better in more people. Most oncologists are unaware of this but it is in the scientific lit. Cancer is mainly a failure of the immune system and not about the cancer cell. Get the immune system working again and keep it working and you will beat this thing for good. Best of luck, Mike

@@IdalinaAraujo-ms3ry Sure, In my wifes case a total of 500mg mel/day. 100mg every 3-4 hours from about 11:00am on and 200mg at bedtime. A 300mg dose 1.5-2 hours before treatment or any scan to help protect healthy cells. Fasting is a 5 day "fast mimicking diet" that allows about 600 cals a day with the proper distribution of fat/carbs/protein. She would have treatment on day 4 of the fast and would fast every 3 weeks in concert with treatment. Hope this info is of help.

Just got word 2 days ago that my remission has become Stage 4 as well (abdomen, liver, scapula). Your reference to Whack-A-Mole is perfect! The way you describe how this process messes with your body, lifestyle and mental health is fantastic. I'll be sharing your vlog with friends and family to help them "get it" a little better. Thanks. Wishing you all the peace in the world as you continue this journey.

Well, that sucks to hear that you're part of the club, but I can almost assure you that paying attention to your mental health and trying to treat yourself well in spite of this fucking nonsense is valuable for getting through treatment. There are going to be ebbs and flows, and we're never perfect in our non-cancer lives, but I try to look at things through the lens of: getting better is my only job - what can I do today to help that? Always here to talk if you want.

Mike, this is Dwayne. I'm cheering and praying for you and this hits home as my best friend, my younger brother Rodger also went through this and I was also honored to care for him for a short time. Please read on to the end for a suggestion - I'm sure you get lots of suggestions and advice, but at this point, information is key and you'll need to decide what info to choose to use in your cancer management. Number one advice from my brother - please continue to be your own best self-advocate. Trust your oncologist, but challenge them and ask lots of questions. My younger brother went through this exact same thing - stage 4 metasticized melanoma. Tumors were found in his liver, brain, and lower spine. He was extremely fit and healthy, athletically active and mentally strong. He previously had a history of tanning bed use in his 20's. He was diagnosed at age 44 in 2016, given 2 weeks to live, and immediately placed on the BRAF drug in combination with dual immunotherapy (same drugs you're on). The BRAF drug was like a magic bullet and he went into a fast reduction in tumors size. He remained on all 3 drugs and was in full remission in about 4 months and gained all his strength and body mass back. They also did cyberknife focused radiation for his brain tumors and other focused radiation for his spine and liver. He never had traditional chemo. They left him on those drugs and after a time (I think it was 2 to 3 years later), they stopped one drug at a time and did follow up PET scans. He was clear the first two scans and then some tumors came back. When they re-started the BRAF it was no longer effective (supposedly BRAF only works for a finite time until the body becomes de-sensitized to it). Man, the immunotherapy side effects are a bitch. Unfortunately, he eventually lost the physical fight 4 years in at age 48 in 2020. He stayed mentally and spiritually strong until the very end. Since then I've tried to keep reading and watching content to continue to educate myself on managing cancer and watching for new approaches or breakthroughs in studies. Both my brother and I are medical device engineers and avid technical readers on medical as well as nutrition and fitness. If I knew then what I know now, the number one thing my brother would do to increase his chances of continued success is to apply intermittent fasting as well as regular multi-day fasts since cancer feeds on sugar and carbs. Of course your body needs some carbs to survive, but I've learned it's the frequency that can be key. A few stage 4 cancer patients have talked about this, and of key interest is at the very least applying a temporary fasting strategy before and after immunotherapy or an radiation or chemo. They have said a 48 hr fast with water only before treatment and a 24 hr fast water only after treatment greatly reduced or eliminated side effects. I encourage you to try this. Kick ass Mike! You got this. Check out the video that inspired me here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nXfViX96jZWpqac

Keep putting those fires out. You are one of the strongest people I know. I recently found out my cancer is still in my blood but they can’t see it in scans, which means it’s pretty much going to come back somewhere at some point. I was also told my cancer is incurable at this stage, but treatable. I will have to learn to live with it. You have done this before, you can do it again. You got this.

@Linn_Laugh_Love
@Linn_Laugh_Love 3 ай бұрын
I've looked into it and tried it. I think there are benefits to be had, but ultimately ever doctor/nutritionist/person who understands biomechanics that I've talked to about it has told me that exercise replicates the effects better than fasting, and I exercise like crazy. Basically, you're just trying to trigger autophagy via fasting (as far as I understand), while keeping your calories down. I still may look into more/try, because I'm going to be trying a bunch of stuff that doesn't present downside, and fasting seems pretty innocuous.

Mike, it's been surreal, feeling so connected to you- I am a British born Pakistani, former Texas paramedic, and currently in Pakistan. I want to share this with you- I am currently not diagnosed- with tests inconclusive, even post biopsy. I am dealing with HNC cancer is "most aggressive"- so let's pls agree to end the Olympics on the various cancers- ok? I have options to have more tests- a couple if days ago I ran into a yt post and the guys said that if we ALL had pet scans regularly, then 3-4 times annually tumours would be detected- our bodies, unbeknownst to US- are designed and do fight them regularly. Then- the issue of biopsy- which to me, seem to inflict trauma on a growth which may be benign or malignant - and can trigger a cell proliferation response?? Would I have a biopsy again, or would I "monitor" the tumour, following immunotherapy protocols, Dr William Li's yt work, Garson therapy or a combination of the above- and see if the tumour responds by shrinking? Soursop, turkey tail, etc... and other foods and herbs are touted to assist. I hope this helps, and you are in my prayers. Oh, there is a subliminal I downloaded off yt and listen to on loop by SICCESSSUBLIMINALS ( ITS ONE WORD) , AND DEALS WITH accelerated healing and the immune system- I credit it with reducing the swelling in my lymph nodes. I am here if you need further clarification. Love, Shaynel, jhelum Punjab Pakistan 🇵🇰💕

Question- How are you stage 4 exactly if it's only traveled to your regional lymph nodes? Mets to the regional lymph nodes are stage 3. Stage 4 is distant metastases after the cancer travels through the lymphatic system to get to further lymph nodes or organs/bones, correct? You lost me there. Regardless I'm sure your team will come up with a great plan and I pray that you will beat this and not have to continue dealing with recurrences. I can't imagine how scary it must be! Wishing you the best!

My initial site was 6 years ago on my calf. It was stage 3c as it traveled to lymph nodes in my groin (plus a small satellite in my leg). My stage 4 recurrence involved my parotid lymph node in my jaw, my iliac lymph node in my abdomen, and a tiny spot on my tongue (hence the stage 4). This is a recurrence of that presumably, though it's essentially in the same site as my first diagnosis, so who knows the relations. I appreciate the question and the kind words :)

Best thing is you cant make the liposomes yourself with just D-limonene/orange essential oil, olive oil, lecithin, and water. blend it all up into an emulsion, to make the liposomes even smaller use an ultrasonic cleaner/high shear blender.

I started the keto diet, and it turned my condition 180. I followed the Cantin Ketogenic Diet by Elaine Cantin. Keto + 0 sugar + 0 dairy = effective results. I wouldn't call this the cure, but it definitely slowed down the Growth of cancer. I will leave links if you are interested.

Did you receive the pokes from the new cold in the last 3 years? If so, how many? Sorry about your reoccurrence

I did get a vaccine shot 3 years ago. But I also got cancer the first time well before that, and they're most likely unrelated. Worth asking, though.

For our sins we deserve eternity in hell, but God loves us so much he came as Jesus to pay the price of our sins through living a perfect life for us, his death and his resurrection so we can be forgiven and receive eternal life if we follow and obey him in faith FOR LIFE , Jesus loves u and desires to have a personal relationship with you of love, peace, redemption and obedience ✝️ May Jesus bless you, repent of your sins and turn to Christ before it's too late 🙏🏿❤️❤

My friend once accidentally stabbed me with a paring knife. I also got cancer well before the Covid vaccine, if that's what you're alluding to. I'm guessing neither are highly correlated.

This is a recurrence from 6 years ago. He says it in the video. Pull your head out of your ass ya numpty. Sorry Mike I've gotten the same bullshit questions with my lung cancer diagnosis. It's irritating. The tumor on my lung was found in 21 and too large and slow growing to have started after covid and the vaccine.
