I HAVE NEVER Seen One Of These IN PERSON!!! (Unexpected Catch)

When you fish with nightcrawler in moving water ALL THE TIME, you catch all sorts of different species.. When you've been doing that for 10+ years, you eventually feel like you've caught just about everything. At this point in my poopy creek existence, new species are equally as cool as catching something big. While we didn't get the biggest fish ever this day, we did get A NEW FISH. PAAA POWWW!!!

Quilback for sure. Called a suckercarp because it looks like a carp even though it isn't a carp. Pretty rad catch. Still haven't caught one here yet. Great video

Southern Michigan, fish like this you get nothing but small bass, bluegill or other similar sunfish. Wish I could go to a small creek and catch such an assortment. Channels, flatheads, walleye, goldeneye, sauger, muskey, bass, drum…seriously, it’s bass, pike, bullhead, and sunfish here. Bowfin or long nose gar. To go to some little creek spot and catch walleye is unheard of. The assortment of fish you catch on a crawler and split shot makes me jealous as hell.

Shrimp here in N.C. in October look like lobsters..and you can actually catch them in a crab trap...but they measure 10-12 inches!! But speaking of fishing with shrimp..I use shrimp to catch bullheads and channels, but I've also caught bream and sunfish off of them also...I REALLY REALLY want to catch a Walleye..but they are not indigenous to my part of the country...I've got a buddy that lives in Denver,CO. and I'm gonna take a trip there just to see what I can catch there

Have you tried targetting silver carp? Considering they can get up to around 60-70 pounds they'd be hell on wheels on lighter gear. Plus each one you take out of the system is thousands of eggs that don't get spawned next season.
