This game has to be one of the hardest point and clicks. There is so much detail so many ways to do things. Though the biggest hint is never to give into the characters base desires as AM wants you to do. You guys seemed to have started to figure that out in the last one. It's about each character trying to overcome their past, atone for their past, and do the best to bring humanity back into a world destroyed by the worst of it. I don't think I've ever seen another game quite like it.

@RozzanaRose6 жыл бұрын
For people complaining about the guide, remember this is a stream and not a standard LP. They wanted to get the perfect endings and in that setting there is absolutely no way for them to do so with the game's difficulty and style of play. Being mad at him for using a guide on a difficult game that he had no intention of playing for 10+ hours and wasting time, in a live-feed doesn't make sense. In short, there are different concerns between twitch and youtube. The twitch stream was fine and enjoyable, but if you want a legit LP go somewhere else. Don't try to make a steak dinner out of a sandwich.
@oopus46 жыл бұрын
They could have used the guide sparingly, you also make it out to be way more difficult than it really is.
@RozzanaRose6 жыл бұрын
It was difficult enough for them, that they felt it would take too much time within this specific session to figure out on their own. Twitch streamers have different concerns than youtubers, which is why the stream was the way it was.
@polyjohn34256 жыл бұрын
No, they couldn't have used the guide sparingly. This game is great, but it punishes you for exploring, and one misclick on a seemingly-innocent item can prevent you from getting the "perfect" ending, which is actually the only good ending. They explicitely played the game in a stream with the goal of getting the good ending. Without playing the game enough times to memorize it, playing by the guide is literally THE ONLY WAY to do what they wanted to do.

Cholo Dela Cruz a 4 year old wouldn’t have understood “I took those eyes from a man who was just complaining of pain from having them removed.” “That Wall is made of faces.” “That kid’s mother was just chosen to die.” And “you died in place of the kid.” I understand I wouldn’t have understood most of the truly awful things, but as a kid I remembered the eyes and then staring at me and the faces and the sacrifice. In fact, that last one messed me up because I didn’t understand *why*. Seriously though, I remember the eyes stuff and the sacrificial stuff and how bloody that surgical table was. @skinnermclane44676 жыл бұрын
I hate to say this was really disappointing when you got the airship segment and you started simply reading from the guide exclusively. You were no longer even attempting to explore or look at the game itself at all. I appreciate having a guide to help when you get stuck or even to keep things moving - but when you don't even take the time to explore your surroundings it defeats a lot of the purpose of playing the game in the first place; at least - for me. I say this not to be mean, but because it's a shame you didn't experience the airship segment for what it was, and hope in the future you take your time if you do more games like this.
@SapphireDragon3576 жыл бұрын
To be fair, this game commits one of the cardinal sins of adventure games: punishing exploration. If you say the wrong things or even look at the wrong stuff, you don't get the 'perfect' ending.
@SuperHoppedUp6 жыл бұрын
Yeah it kind of relies on using save scumming to complete perfectly on your first playthrough (which is kind of LP poison.) One could argue that save scumming represents the idea the AM is making the characters repeat these sequences over and over until they either get their perfect ending, or the ending that he wants, but one would have a hard time arguing that so far up their own ass.
@skinnermclane44676 жыл бұрын
Agreed, with both of you. I was simply lamenting that once it got to the point where they were no longer examining their surroundings the LP fell apart.

no need to be a prick about it, it loses a magic when it's just straight up following a book instead of exploring every little quirk. Jesse typically likes to see every interaction within a game so it's surprising how he just ignored things because of the guide

Pixel-art = old-school graphics? Also voice acting is not so bad in this game. I doubt you have played Resident Evil.
@Himiko_Void6 жыл бұрын
You are aware that this game... came out in 1995 right? The artstyle like this isn't on purpose, it's probably a result of being in development for some time and then coming out on 1995. The voice-acting is also rather fine when it comes to some of the characters and the voice actors are trying very hard with an actual English-written script instead of a Japanese to English translated script. Have you even heard the original RE game? Also, comparing it to the room? Seriously? The Room is an extremely awful movie with an extremely awful script with extremely awful acting and an extremely awful writer/director/producer. I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream is actually good.
