I had no idea this was a thing! I love booktube! I live with chronic pain and no long work 😢One of my meds was affecting my eyesight. Depression was heavy in my life. So discovering audiobooks on you tube. I listened to all my favorite book then books I had read a long time i ago. I love Jane Austen, this led me straight into Regency Romance. I recently was able to start reading again for which I am so grateful. Bless you for sharing your story on your new KZbin channel. Enjoy!

Hi. Welcome to BookTube, Farah. That was a delightful introduction. As I watched the scan of your bookshelves, your Kanji book caught my eye, because a few years ago I was learning how to write Japanese kanji using the Heisig method of making little stories to connect the kanji’s components to the meaning of the whole kanji. Example: the kanji for “performing artist” consists of _Audrey Hepburn_ (person radical) plus _branches._ My story references “Funny Face” (1957). Did you ever try Heisig?

Awwwww I've only just seen this!! Welcome to Booktube, I'm glad you finally had the courage to start! 🥰 I love that you're from Denmark, I visited Copenhagen a few years ago now and absolutely loved it. Was such a chill city with amazing fashion too. I also loved the meat packing district with all of the restaurants and bars. Good luck with your studies and I can't wait to see more videos from you!! 💗xxxxx

Velkommen Farah! I look forward to seeing more people of color in this community ❤ while I'm not a booktuber (yet!) I know that a lot of the people who read a *lot* of books in a month/year are huge audiobook proponents. I also used to think I wasn't a huge audiobook fan (there's just something about the experience of sitting down with the smell/feel of a physical book that an audiobook cannot match, ya know?) but have been reading some more books via audio while commuting to/from class and I've been making *huge* progress where I'd otherwise be too occupied. Chores are another great time to do this, but I have a soft spot for putting on 4-hour-long video essays from favored creators rather than books, so that's a harder sell for me, personally. Nice to meet another student in their later 20's, it feels so strange to have peers who are 5+ years younger than you! I'm 26 and pursuing a Psychology degree, myself. Lovely to meet you ❤ Your english is very good, btw! Multilingual folks are so incredible!

Heyy, welcome to book tube. Glad to have such a beautiful here. I too trying to start my own channel and your kind of gave me a more push to it. And yes, Denmark is my Dream Country. I really wish to meet you someday when I come there, if it's in this life btw. Also, your voice is so sweet and your necklace, I really love it!! I too read romance and romance. My life everything else except romance in it, so I fill the gap with reading romance books. Though, I just got into mafia romance. So excited to know which books you love! PS, I already love you!

@@Farah_yousif Not so much different out here in the Netherlands. Recently the summers seem just much hotter and the winders much more drerier than they used to. Either it's too hot or it's to rainy. But if it's too hot in the summer I read in front of my appartment, there is shade most of the day in summer. I used to mind the remarks of neighbours, but I'm not bothered by it anymore.

Aw i'm so sorry to hear that! Which romance books have you already tried? and what is your preferred genre?

@@Farah_yousif I tried book lovers and the love hypothesis 🙈 I tend to prefer fantasy or coming of age novels, so if there's a good fantasy romance I think I could enjoy that!

We’re more than pairs of skulls and crossing bones. The collared angel tries to flap her wings; the bored cashier is scrolling on her phone, pretending not to hear chains rattling. No painting’s muse was ever late for work. But now the models pace a crosswalk Hell when all we ever did was come to Earth to try and find a place to be ourselves. We art the people famous painters drew. What invoked the barista’s doodled heart? Perhaps she could’ve been a model too, or is no matter what the wealthy want. Forgo their taxes! Live and break your chains, and like the angel freed, we’ll skip away. this is a sonnet that i wrote
