A small thing you missed in the Ruan Mei trailer, but the point where her speech cut out after talking about how it is possible to "dissect Remembrance, control Equilibrium, deconstruct Beauty and reproduce Permancence", she was most likely saying "Perhaps I too can become an *Aeon*". Her goals seem to be going far beyond just recreating an emanator, and oh boy does that exponentially increase both the intrigue and the scariness of her character.

Fun Fact: Herta is also an Emanator of Erudition despite being Number 83 in the Genius Society which is why everyone's also expecting a 5-star version of her real self in the future and not just her puppet version (The other known Emanator of Erudition that we know of is Zandar, the Number 1 in the Genius Society) A lot of the lore info of the different factions and planets in Star Rail isn't only in the books, but also in the Simulated Universe stories especially in "The Swarm Disaster" and "Gold & Gears" gamemodes in SU The part with Ruan Mei that got muted as well was her saying "And perhaps I too can become an Aeon."

Something I like about the Ruan Mei trailer that nobody talks about is the scene at the start where you see the eyes reflecting on her head. It's meant to be some scary, eldritch monster but the scene changes, showing that all she sees is just another form of life. People focus too much on her desire to become an aeon when her real motivator is to completely understand "life" itself. To her, aeons are just another form of life, and she believes there must be some underlying principle of existence that even they follow

​@@georgieegamesto answer some of your questions: - HSR is explicitly linked to HI3 since it's the same Welt in both, and word of god from Hoyo says Genshin is in the same cosmology/world as HI3, but it seems to be a very abstract link - HSR so far has several parallels to great powers in HI3 and Genshin: the dragons you mentioned being similar, the swords in Acheron's trailer parallel the Herrschers, both HI3 and HSR having Finality playing a role. but HSR Aeons so far seem to be a cut above most anything in either of the other two settings, being essentially eldritch gods bound to their path. - speaking of aeons, the artworks for them as well as a couple pages of lore for each can be viewed in the Simulated Universe archive. go pay Herta a visit!

Their High Elder is Imbibitor Lunae. The Yaoqing: Led by General Feixiao. It's a mainly Foxian dominant ship with more IPC influence than other ships. They are the most military-inclined ship. Their High Elder is Caelorum Venti. The Zhuming: Led by General Huaiyan, who is both Cloud Knight and Artisan. A ship full of craftsmen where the progenitor of all Heliobi reside, powering the ship. They incorporate Heliobi into a lot of their technology. Their High Elder is Ardens Regia. The Fanghu: A ship that belongs to the Vidyadhara. Governed by the High Elder Glaciator Marum. The six commission heads, including General Xuanquan, support her directly. The Yuque: Led by General Yaoguang. The birthplace of the Divination Commission and Jade Abacus technology where Fu Xuan came from. The former Master Diviner was Fu Xuan's master. Their High Elder is Mons Grandis. The Xuling: Led by General Youwu. A mysterious ship populated entirely by Aurumatons that act as a mobile dock to repair and resupply the other ships. Possibly home to the Ten-Lords Commission. The 7 Generals gather here for important meetings. There is no High Elder since there probably aren't Vidyadhara.

This entire Ever Flame Mansion was a huge Red Hering for all those looking forward to Penacony. Everybody thought, they were the big bad guys and hoped, some of those might even be playable. That Duke Inferno gets off-screened and the entire group disbanded was something nobody expected. Because nobody thought, that they would just throw all those characters away just to give us a false lead for Penacony.

I case you didn't know, Genshin and Honkai are linked in lore through the Imaginary Tree. In Honkai Impact 3rd, Dvalin is straight-up shown in one of the main story chapters while looking into different worlds in the Imaginary Tree. So yes, Genshin is in a way connected to Honkai lore.

Well, if a single member of the Genius Society were ever to discover anything that could provably improve the state of the universe, they wouldn't have discovered it: Nous would have simply published it long before their inception. According to Herta's writings, you simply do not make it into the Genius Society (or possibly you don't become an Emanator of Erudition; it's even possible those are the same thing) if you retain the illusion that being a genius has some greater significance beyond being a plant or a fish. Or as Ruan Mei stated, there is nothing to be lost and nothing to be gained from doing research. It is simply an expression of one part of your identity. And presumably if you have whatever it takes to mentally survive the Total Perspective Vortex of metaphorically observing yourself in the reflection of Nous's gaze, you intend to continue expressing your identity. All of it. Whatever that may be.

It's vaguely mentioned that Acheron let the others go and only killed Duke. Glamoth's story, very short version: They created genetically engineered humans to pilot those mech suits with the intention of bringing their empire back under control of the central government. In the process they ran into the swarm and the swarm decided they looked tasty. A long war was fought, and now Firefly is the only known survivor. However, there has been a cheeky mention outside of game by miHoYo that maybe there are more SAM pilots out there still. Also, assuming this was the Swarm Disaster and not some lesser swarm invasion, this was anywhere from 30,000 to 200,000 years ago. We only have the time measured in Amber Eras, and an Amber Era is not a fixed number of years. We also don't have a firm number of Amber Eras that the disaster lasted, nor where in the timeline of the disaster Glamoth was involved.

Firefly's designation is one of my fave lil nods to their own story, AR-26710. The start of Penacony in the story dropped on February 6th, which using their date format is 2/6, and Firefly's banner ended on July 10th, or 7/10. And their higher up that touched down later was actually using SAM's original concept for her armor.

What's great is you were almost spot on for sparkle. If you turn on subtitles during that video. It shows you that the first time you see here it her first play. The second time she's going up that elevator, it's her 99th time playing that character. Then, the last time you see here on that elevator, it's her 999th time. the ruan mei and fables about the stars trailers are still my favourite - musically and visually they're both so stunning, and the voice actresses just absolutely killed it. It's so easy to get caught up on how cute the planet is that you don't really think about how INSANE it is that Ruan Mei cultivated an entire planet - she speaks about wanting to become an aeon and i'll be damned if creating life and planets isn't at least getting there. I REALLY hope she ends up being as important a character as she's made out to be by this trailer, she could be such a cool antagonist

Animated in the technical sense but the style itself is a lot more reminiscent of more traditional story telling mediums which just fits perfectly with the purpose of these trailers. For the Sparkle Trailer the "First" show, She herself was Sparkle and the Mask was a Cover, in the first Flashback (which is shown in the CC as "Show No.99") , She and the Mask were Sparkle because they became one, in the last flashback (in CC its Show No.999) , She faded beeing Sparkle and became the "Mask" , while the Mask became "Sparkle" You Missed the Acheron one, but i would wait with that at least until end of 2.2 , because of potential spoilers in terms for acheron herself. Slight correction about the very first Myriad Celestia, the Jepella Brotherhood that was judging Kafka _was_ an Annihilation Gang, a rival to Duke Inferno's own Ever-Flame Mansion. However Kafka's action in that Myriad Celestia led to their fall. Remember, Annihilation Gang is an umbrella term for all the factions that fall under Nanook the Destruction's influence, but don't transform themselves into the Antimatter Legion.

Also for the Myriad Celestia trailers, I recommend watching them with captions sometimes because there are some interesting things added in that aren't spoken. For instance with Sparkle's, the captions tell us which showing each performance is: "Sparkle" Premiere Performance "Sparkle" Showing No. 99 "Sparkle" Showing No. 990 Or in Ruan Mei's, when the audio gets muted at the end with her saying she hopes to someday become an aeon, the final word aeon is actually blocked out like how we see in game sometimes. Just little details like that! Nothing crucial to the lore (usually), but just really interesting :)

I believe in both this sparkle short and her main trailer, the red mask / red eyes are Aha, the elation, and has perhaps partly overtaken part of what sparkle is,which is why we have her crying with the eyes looking down on her, and in monodrama the sparkle with the red mask holds the gun to her head and says "me, I'm the elation"

If i remember the lore theories correctly "Sparkle" true identity is unknown, the Mask was given to her by a random Masked Fool Performer so she took the role of Sparkle and adopted to it. Thats also why her Mask have 2 sides probobly. So "Sparkle" is just a title and a host is not even the real Sparkle due to the Mask (Aha powers) and the host true Persona. A love the Elation factions.

The leader of the 10 stonehearts Diamond, is an emanator of Preservation. The cornerstones they give out, are literally the crystallized power of Preservation. Although none of the 10 stonehearts are emanators, they can temporarily gain access to power similar to one by using these. This makes those cornerstones extremely valuable because of how star rail's lore talks about power scaling. The Aeons are like oceans, the emanators are buckets and the regular pathstrider is a droplet. Take Acheron for example, as an emanator of Nihility she is the single most dangerous entity that could thwart Sunday's plan because Nihility negated a lot of the sweet dream's allure, and it took the sacrifice of over a hundred thousand followers of Order and Sunday possessing one of Xipe's embodiments, for him to keep her out, and even then she was able to momentarily cut through the sweet dream. That's how powerful an emanator is.

More lore theories: "The lever scale where they are throwing their Stones is to decide if they will be Defensive or Offensive in the Aeon War. Those who threw their stone into the red side of the scale are voting for punishing the other factions during the war, and those who threw their gems into the blue side, are voting besides protecting other faction's civillians from death during the war. If the hammer will punish or protect. And deciding Aventurine's verdict in the same time there. So far they seem on the side of more protection then punishing but its IPC so.. And the Opal (who is probobly younger Pepeshi) was responsible for Aventurine's trial. In the end we saw that he'll come back to The Stonehearts. Saphire has been punished for some unknown crime of his, Agate is suspected to be dead, and Diamond is not a part of the Stonehearts directly, he is been Promoted. Because if you count the stones in the end, there are 11 stones not 10. That's because Diamond is the Leader but most likely isn't present in their meetings (not in person at least as these "tiny" things don't concern him that much). The Stonehearts are collecting "the Credit" for the Amber Lord for the sake of standing a chance in the Aeon War."

Ruan Mei is a mad scientist, although in a calm, sociopathic (i believe that is the word) way, She is a great unit to have in the game, but as soon as a certain new free 4 star comes next patch (if you know you know) then she will take Ruan Mei's place in my Super break team, that way Firefly is with people she actually gets along with

The IPC is divided with each department and the 10 stone hearts are a much more lighter evil compared to the marketing department who they are actually against with. Its more likely they will be our ally once we have an IPC related story quest.

Spoilers for the last Myriad Celestia! So, the reason why they do weigh a Stone Heart to Penacony, is because each fraction of the Ten Stone Hearts is a fraction of a power of an Emenator, which Emenators like Jing Yuan often do have whole FACTIONS that will follow them considering they managed to draw the gaze of an Aeon. So, Aventurine having his Stone Heart destroyed basically to them feels like he's spitting on the very power granted to them directly from Qlipoth. So while Penacony was a huge success all in all, anyone who cares about the weight of the power, sees what he did as almost a sin, which is why they vow to treasure them like their life.

Basically to some up the first one the annihilation gang is split into smaller groups this is the death of Jepella Brotherhood leading power in the annilationg gang after the event here Ever-Flame Mansion clamed it self as top dog since their rivals were if not wiped out heavily destroyed. theri are most likey other groups in the annihilation gang we have not met yet but the two above are the biggest players in the faction

For Belobog, we haven't met any Architects member. Architects is one of main faction that worship Preservation Aeon just like IPC, but both faction have different way to Preserve the universe. I think when we about go back to Jarilo-IV, that's where we will get a Myriad Celestia trailer for Belobog

One thing that wasn't spoken/written down in the Aeon/paths trailer is the last Aeon who was shown. That's Fuli/the Aeon of the path of Finality, the veiled figure as the Astral Express ahoots across the stars. Basicly, they represent the constance of time and that the universe will end and it's rumored that Elio is a follower of Finality and that's why he has his abilitys since those on Finality can hear or understand the Dreams/Memories of Fuli because those dreams are like the pulses of stars and have information about the future going backwards thru time and very few can understand them. I may be wrong but that's the jist of it.

Fuli is the Aeon of Remembrance. Terminus, Aeon of Finality is mentioned earlier and hinted at throughout the section where Black Swan lists several Aeons in quick succession
