That's awesome Jean! Can't wait to read it 😄 I have lots of questions, I was wondering if you could tell us a bit more about the "conflict" of the story? Unless it's more of a cozy/slice of life book? Also what's the magic like? (I guess Morgan has magic?), or if you could tell us more about power dynamics, I love power dynamics in books. Or how would you describe Vivienne as a character? Also does the romance part have sex scenes? When you said Merlin my mind immediately went to all the inevitable steamy fanfic that arose from the the constant unresolved tension 😂

Conflict wise I don't want to give too much away because there some twists and turns re. who the antagonist is/isn't and there are quite a few morally grey characters. I wouldn't say it's cosy/slice of life, definitely more court power struggles and figuring out who you are as a woman in a patriarchal world :D. The magic is inspired by arthurian legend and Celtic folklore more generally. So working on the premise that there are fair folk as well as those who can learn to practice magic (sorcerers). Actually Vivian and Morgan learning the magical arts is a big part of the book. Lots of plant and nature magic unsurprisingly. And yes there are some sex scenes. I think three in total and they get rather steamy but I don't think it's enough of a focus to constitute the book being considered primarily a romantasy aha. EDIT: Oh, and Vivian begins the book as a slightly lonely young woman not sure of her place or who she is. But she is also curious and passionate and has a lot of learning and growing to do thoughout the story ;).
