Probably that they should’ve traded Gobert instead

Tall order. We'll see. I say that as a Knicks fan. Let's see a deep run in the playoffs, wishing that whole team good health in May and June.

Man I'll never get why Minnesota gave this guy up, especially coming off a WCF. Must've been a team chemistry issue.
@SirCruxfulСағат бұрын
no they liked KAT. Rudy is the least important chemistry wise, but rudys contract is a cancer no one would want traded, and if we kept KAT we would have to gut our depth like naz reid and NAW. Rudy's contract really put them in a tough spot for next few years, they decided to unload kat's contract where we would pay him next 4 years with julius randle which ends this year

I think it was still very greedy by the team to not run in the second apron and just run it back one more year before making a move like this... Timberwolves does not like spending
@Buff-Wings51 минут бұрын
@@SirCruxful true it probably came down to contracts at the end of the day. I still think losing players like Naz and NAW would’ve been preferable to losing KAT when he was your #1 pick drafted franchise player for like a decade. It’s like KG all over but at least by that point they were years removed from even making the playoffs. It just felt to me like they were like “that WCF was fun, but we aren’t really trying to contend like that this year.” I do agree that Rudy kinda screws them tho. He’s a good defensive player but not nearly worth what he’s charging. If they could’ve gotten rid of Gobert over KAT they probably would have. This second apron is really going to settle who deserves these max contracts the next couple years.

@ the problem is not that we just lose naw and naz, but we could only really replace them with close to league minimum contracts which makes the team very one dimensional
@SirCruxful6 минут бұрын
@ yeah the second apron and mid level contract shit they’ve been doing have been making shit hurt rn with teams. Lots of over inflated players who are older too which teams woulda loved to have but their contracts are too big
